  • This research, currently being conducted at Profhistoria of UERN in Mossoró, sheds light on the complex relationship between politics, culture, and sport in the Mataderos neighborhood, located on the outskirts of Buenos Aires. Focused on Club Atlético Nueva Chicago and its intrinsic connection to the neighborhood, the study explores the working-class struggle identity in Mataderos, the neighborhood's relationship with Peronism, and its representation through the Nueva Chicago football club. The study begins with an analysis of Mataderos's origins, traditionally an area of slaughterhouses, before exploring the construction of the working-class struggle identity, examining elements such as the Creole Museum of Corrales, the formation of the Los Perales housing complex, and the local working class. The research also addresses the neighborhood's relationship with Peronism and the dispute over nomenclature in some places, demonstrating how the Peronist political-cultural tradition was built in the neighborhood and how it impacted Club Atlético Nueva Chicago. The work proposes a perspective to understand how sport and politics can interact in specific sociopolitical contexts, using the case of Nueva Chicago and Mataderos as a case study. The goal is to comprehend how the Nueva Chicago fanbase politically manifested alongside Peronism during the Military Dictatorship. This includes answering questions such as: How is this manifestation rooted in the complex intersection of politics, culture, and sport? What are the aspects of the historical, political, cultural, and economic formation of Mataderos that led to the construction of Club Atlético Nueva Chicago and its deep connection with the neighborhood? How is it possible to revisit and problematize the historical context of the Nueva Chicago fanbase's manifestation in 1981, using information from journals, television stories, and eyewitness accounts? And, finally, how was the Peronist political-cultural tradition built in Club Nueva Chicago, and what historical elements were crucial for this construction? The complexity of these questions points to challenges in understanding how sport and politics can interact in specific sociopolitical contexts. At the same time, this complexity and inherent challenges offer a rich opportunity to explore the multifaceted intersection between politics, culture, and sport in Argentina. This research, therefore, not only sheds light on historical and contemporary aspects of Argentine society but also contributes to a broader understanding of how cultural and political elements intertwine and influence each other in a constantly evolving social dynamic.

  • The school failure in rural education throughout the republican history of Brazil has been the subject of various debates among educators, politicians and social movements. It configures itself as an education that has arisen late, devalued, poorly seen and linked to urban-centric logic. In this context, the historic absence of policies linked to the training of teachers and the precariousness of schools are highlighted. As a consequence, these problems have been reflected in the serious educational problems such as the poor school performance of the students. Through this, the present dissertation aims to present a school census on the number of students evaded and rejected at the Municipal School 1st Grade Hipólito (now School Municipal Evilásio Leão), located in the rural area of the city of Mossoró-RN between 1990 and 2000. To build this census were used 42 pages of two Enrolment Books and 461 Individual Sheets found in the school's archives. The figures of this census were organized in charts and graphs. The theoretical reference of this dissertation is anchored in research on school institutions having their archives as a source of research in History of Education, an area that has become quite common among historians and educators. The archives of the Evilásio Leão Municipal School are significant research objects and useful to reflect on rural education not only local but also national in that historical context. The research has a quantitative and quantitational bias, because in addition to bringing absolute figures on the evasions and reproaches of the Hippolitan students, it also aims to provoke a debate on rural education both local and national at the end of the 20th century. In addition, reflect on the limits and possibilities of the use of school writing as a source of research for the History of Education.

  • This work analyzes a pedagogical project carried out in the first semester of 2023 with high school students in Catolé do Rocha, Paraíba, in the elective course "My School Has History: The Northeast by the Students". The objective was to develop didactic sequences for history classes to be disseminated in municipal and state public schools. The research involved 20 students in activities such as mapping historical consciousness, visiting historical buildings, analyzing sources, using photographs, and discussing the documentary "Praça de Guerra". The methodology was based on the Problematization Methodology and the Maguerez Arch, promoting active and reflective learning. Grounded in Jörn Rüsen's theory of historical consciousness, the study connects historical learning to the students' reality. The final product, "Didactic Sequences for Local History in Catolé do Rocha", will be distributed free of charge, aiming to enrich the teaching of local history and develop critical skills for civic education.

  • The research carried out in the PROFHISTÓRIA master's degree at UERN focuses on understanding in school historical narratives about the Civil-Military Dictatorship of 1964 which are the main representations constructed on the topic. The study sets out to carry out a comprehensive and multifaceted analysis. To this end, we seek a cross-section going from what is proposed in the BNCC, the main curricular document, trying to understand how their competence and skills for the area of Human Sciences deal with the existence of the Dictatorship in Brazil. The second step is to understand how the content is treated and analyzed in textbooks, seeking to understand the role of materials in the construction of representations of the period. This methodology seeks not only to examine what is officially proposed in curricular documents and textbooks, but also to investigate the different perspectives that emerge from teachers' statements when teaching the topic. And finally, our study will be dedicated to exploring how students assimilate, interpret and represent the historical moment of the Civil-Military Dictatorship of 1964. This aspect is essential to understand not only the impact of school narratives on the formation of students' vision of the period, but also how these historical representations influence their own identity and understanding of the political and social context of contemporary Brazil. By analyzing how students internalize and translate the content taught, we can capture not only the effectiveness of historical teaching, but also the gaps and challenges in transmitting a complex and often controversial history. This involves not only examining what students retain as historical information, but also how they reinterpret that information in light of their own experiences, values, and external influences. To collect data, we used survey tests and questionnaires, together with semi-structured interviews recorded in audio, which together with classroom observations will be converted into protocol pieces, constituting our documentary body. The results found show us which representations influence the identity of students in public schools in Fortaleza, Ceará, as well as revealing the fundamental role played by teachers in developing a real understanding of what really was the Civil-Military Dictatorship that many political and political sectors ultraconservative right-wing culturalists try to defend and legitimize the period through speeches in the most diverse cultural instruments.

  • The present essay seeks to analyze and discuss the applicability of an anti-racist heritage visitation guide aimed at the Historic Center of the city of Aracati – Ceará, which was listed by IPHAN in 2001. This guide focuses on the history and influence of the Black population in colonial Aracati, emphasizing data that reinforce the presence of Black individuals in local history. To this end, a theoretical-methodological intervention is presented that aims to promote Anti-Racist Education, with an emphasis on Anti-Black Racism. Regarding the methodological aspects, the research development involves examining responses collected from online questionnaires completed by 9th-grade students. These questionnaires are related to the themes of Cultural Heritage and Education for Ethnic-Racial Relations. The collected data is connected to the methodologies of Heritage Education and Local History. Therefore, based on authors such as Alberti (2013), Conceição (2023), Fernandes, A. (2012), Florência (2015), Gomes (2007), Lopes (2014), Macedo (2017), Nunes and Luz (2022), and Rüsen (2010), the objective is to discuss how the Historic Center of Aracati can be utilized as an educational and anti-racist heritage site. Thus, by paving the way for a more critical approach to History teaching, this contributes to the construction of a more egalitarian and less discriminatory society.

  • The topic of using new educational technologies in the classroom is not new, however, in recent years, teachers, municipal and state education departments have focused on introducing Digital Information and Communication Technologies (TIDC's) into the school context in especially due to the pandemic period (2020-2021), where they had to modify the in-person teaching offer to the remote teaching modality. Starting from this reality, we aim to discuss and understand the possibilities of using virtual museums as sources for teaching History in elementary school II. To this end, we selected the virtual exhibition - Ancient Egypt: from everyday life to eternity, from the Centro Cultural Banco do Brasil (CCBB) museum, in order to analyze the use of this virtual environment for teaching History. The research is supported by the analyzes of GUIMARÃES (2014), PEREIRA (2009) and RAMOS (2020), with regard to the study of museums, understood here as: “a space for recreating memory and reinterpreting time, culture and of history.” The concept of a virtual museum anchored in the works of: PIACENTE (1996), OLIVEIRA (2002) and ARRUDA (2011) points out as a space that enables multiple interactions between heritage and its visitors through this parallel virtual space, which can enable democratization in the access for children and young people, who are often unable to access these devices due to the various barriers imposed such as: lack of financial conditions, transport, logistics and physical distance between the school and the museum. In this sense, with this work we seek to analyze, based on the aspects raised in the virtual visit to the exhibition Ancient Egypt: from everyday life to eternity, educational possibilities that the History teacher can build with his students in the mediation of reflections regarding learning about temporalities that virtualized cultural assets can express perceptions of the social use of museum objects and their symbolism.

  • This research aimed to analyze rock engravings as a methodological resource conducive to fostering pedagogical experiences that promote the construction of historical knowledge and an understanding of who inhabited the Jaguaribe Valley region in the state of Ceara, Brazil. The study was developed based on a preliminary survey of bibliographic references of an archaeological nature and the field of History Teaching. The theoretical framework that guided the reading of this bibliography and the development of the didactic proposal was the perspective of a New Heritage Education (GIL, 2020; SCIFONI, 2017; BARCELOS, 2016). ln line with this theoretical perspective, the teaching situations executed and the didactic sequence developed from them followed the approach of active methodologies based on research (OLIVEIRA, M. 2017; SILVA, 2021). The results indicated that the initial experiences with the use of rock engravings as a didactic tool in teaching the history of the indigenous peoples of the Jaguaribe Valley proved promising, promoting active and critical learning about cultural heritage, identity, and diversity. By integrating heritage education, history teaching, and archaeology, this interdisciplinary approach has the potential to develop cognitive and interpretative skills in students, aligned with the competencies outlined in the BNCC for Human Sciences. However, the preliminary results demonstrate that this proposal requires further studies for its effective implementation and dissemination in the educational context.

  • Heritage Education consists of training processes that focus on cultural heritage, socially appropriated as a resource for the socio-historical understanding of cultural references. This dissertation aims to analyze the relationship between History Teaching and Heritage Education, emphasizing the city of Mossoró/RN, thus seeking to understand how both can contribute to the historical awareness of students, from the moment they come to be seen as historical agents of their time through the questioning of places of memory and consequently promote the development of students' autonomy within this teaching-learning process. The theoretical foundation of this work is based on the contributions of Le Goff (2013), Certeau (2002), Freire (2004), Horta (1999), Barros (2013), Cerri (2011) among others. It points out some fundamental concepts for the areas of Heritage Education and History Teaching, such as: Heritage, Memory, Local History, Places of Memory and Historical Awareness. From this, the importance that these places have and their respective potentialities when worked by the teacher throughout their teaching practices is addressed in order to contribute to the promotion of critical citizenship training, as guided by the National Common Curricular Base (BNCC). The work consists of four chapters. The first of them deals with Heritage Education and its integration with school knowledge, analyzing memory as an object of History Teaching for the construction of a critical awareness on the part of students. The second chapter emphasizes local history as a strategy for Teaching History in the construction of identities, problematizing the construction of narratives of the local history of Mossoró from the Mossoroense Collection, creation of monuments and datesfor the city. The third chapter seeks to present a little of the history of Mossoró from these constructed narratives and which continue to be recalled and exalted annually by residents and managers. In turn, the fourth chapter of this dissertation presents a proposal for a pedagogical product that can be developed and consequently used by teachers, students and visitors to the city. A booklet that presents the main places of memory in the city, pointing out their respective historical events addressed, providing guided tours with a better orientation, in order to provide moments of problematization about these spaces and narratives present in each one of them. It is believed that working with themes, which are often discussed only in academic environments, with students from the basic network in an adapted and contextualized way, and may even provide these moments in other teaching environments, in addition to the traditional classroom, such as example, in existing places of memory in the city, enable a decrease in the distance between these spaces, resulting in a rapprochement between basic education and the university, in addition to contributing to the formation of critical awareness through the problematization of narratives that are present in several spaces, responsible for the construction of a local identity.

  • In this work we reflect on Active Methodologies in History Teaching. Methodological issues in the teaching of History are marked by changes and permanence throughout its trajectory, allowing teachers to vary their methodological repertoire every day. It is possible to perceive the occurrence of these changes as a school subject, today a curricular component. Teaching Methodologies in History have changed a lot and even in the midst of the effervescence of the use of the term Active Methodologies, teaching methods considered more traditional are still an
important and remarkable presence in teachers' practice. However, from the observance of the History classes of the Final Years of Elementary School, which occurred in the municipal teaching network of Russas-Ceará, it becomes possible to highlight numerous methodologies used in the teaching of this curricular component, which focus on the development of orality, reading and writing in History. We dialogued with the following theorists: BITTENCOURT (2004), FRETITAS (2007), CAINELLI (1999) and RANGEL (2010). Finally, we can say that the work articulated between language practices in Orality, Reading and Writing through Active Methodologies, enable a much more critical, reflective and meaningful practice for teachers and students.

  • This work aimed to analyze the promotion of inclusive moments in the regular History Teaching classroom, with a view to preparing a Diciosinalário of Historical Concepts based on collaborative work between teachers in the AEE classroom, teachers in the regular classroom, interpreter in LIBRAS and deaf and hearing students based on current legislation. The main problem of our research was: “based on the theoretical assumptions and legal bases that guide Brazilian education and school inclusion policy, with regard to special education, how can we promote learning spaces, within the scope of the History curricular component, among deaf and hearing students?”. Our field of research was the Dom Moisés Coêlho State School of Elementary and Secondary Education, in Cajazeiras/PB, especially in History classes in the 3rd year of high school. We use action research as a method for collecting and analyzing data and, in the classroom, active methodologies, with an emphasis on the flipped classroom, to apply the product. We work with the perspective of Ramos (2010), Mantoan (2011, 2015), Crochik (2012), Gonçalves and Furtado (2015) as a contribution to affirm that school inclusion cannot be seen as an isolated process and the sole responsibility of teachers who work in Specialized Educational Service (AEE) rooms. Regarding deafness and its universe, we bring the perspective of Castro Júnior (2015) and Braga Júnior and Bedaque (2015), in addition to legal documents, so that we can understand more about the topic and foster our work perspective towards the issue. Diciosinalário of Historical Concepts. In addition to this theoretical framework in the field of inclusion, we evoke thinkers from History teaching, such as Cerri (2001), Marrera and Souza (2013), Boschi (2007), Barca (2001) and Rüsen (2006), who dialogue with us about historical awareness and historical learning, important topics for understanding the teaching of history in contemporary times, based on the premise of Paulo Freire's philosophy (1996), which invites us to think of the student as a subject who already comes to school with knowledge inherent to their reality and who, at school, is invited to carry out this process of summing up what he already knows (his worldview) and what the school has to teach (schooled knowledge), as well as the concepts of active methodologies, based on dialogue with Diesel, Baldez and Martins (2017), Bannel [et.al] (2016), Pedro Demo (2006) and Filatro and Cavalcanti (2018), with an emphasis on Bergmann and Sans (2018) – authors from the flipped classroom perspective. Our perspective is to add such concepts to that of meaningful learning, coined by David Ausubel (1980). Regarding conceptual history, enabling us to embark on its use in teaching History: Koselleck (1992, 2004) and Barros (2021). To this end, the actions designed around this research, in addition to providing moments of inclusive and bilingual teaching in the classroom, fostered, with regard to the protagonism of students (deaf and hearing), a historical awareness that began the place of speech of each to the historical knowledge inherent to the curriculum.

  • ABSTRACT
At the beginning of 2020, we have the confirmation of the first cases of the COVID-19 disease in Brazil. The disease responsible for a pandemic that was spreading around the world arrived in the country and, in mid-September of the same year, we already had more than 100 thousand deaths in Brazil, reaching 500 thousand in June of the following year. In order to contain the disease, the lockdown begins. The Secretary of Education of the State of Ceará (SEDUC/CE) seeks through the adoption of public policies to keep the school present in the community, thus institutional emails are created for the entire school community: school, managers, teachers and students, also allowing the creation of virtual learning spaces using the tools of the Google for Education system. Starting from this new reality, we present a problematization about the theoretical-methodological debate around the appropriation of Distance Education and the emergence of what would be called Remote Teaching, deepening the reality of Public Education in the State of Ceará, more particularly in the schools in Fortaleza and taking as a reference the History teachers of this teaching network. With this objective, we work with the concepts of teaching knowledge, present in the work of Maurice Tardif, and of digital literacy, referenced in the texts of the English David Buckingham, in order to reflect on the challenges that are imposed on teachers, as well as the appointment of the choices made by teachers regarding new teaching methodologies and the use of digital resources as tools for education. To this end, we carried out a survey of data from e-mails received by the Célula de Formação Programas e Projetos (CEFOP/SEFOR) that acted as support to the school community, managers, teachers and students, in the use of tools made available by SEDUC, seeking to discuss about which were the scope of these public policies implemented, as well as the barriers and difficulties encountered. Quantitative data are also presented that allow us to build an overview of state public education in the capital, and finally, through research carried out via Google Forms online forms, allowed us to build a portrait of the reality of History teachers, reflecting on post-Pandemic difficulties and continuities. The results obtained in this form allowed us to build a product, an Information Manual, consisting of the main resources indicated by teachers as fundamental for Remote Teaching.

  • ABSTRACT
This research proposes to discuss the productions of the company Brasil Paralelo referring to the Civil-Military Dictatorship (1964-1985). Through the analysis of these productions, it was intended to understand how the construction of their narratives takes place in relation to the indicated period, and what are the economic, political and symbolic interests behind them. For this, the theoretical debate around revisionism was undertaken, understood here as the arbitrary manipulation of historical sources with the objective of building a hegemonic narrative linked to a political project and the memory of specific groups, mainly conservatives. The booklet Entre Mitos e Verdades and the documentary 1964 – O Brasil Entre Armas e Livros, both from Brasil Paralelo, were used as sources. It was analyzed how these sources were operationalized for the construction of the narrative to, from there, assess the possible differences between this historiographical work and the method of History as a science. In the end, it was found that the narrative of Brasil Paralelo despises the historical method and the knowledge accumulated by this discipline, demonizing teachers and seeking to replace them in schools and universities. To deal with this, a didactic project was proposed, which would teach students the bases of historical research in order to inhibit the propagation of revisionist narratives in the school environment.

  • This research regards the primitive Chritianism within the field of Cultural Historical seeking to understand the way first Christians realized the world through the writings of the Apostolical Fathers, the ancient Christians documents after the New testament. Initially we will analyze the Hellenistic, Roman and Jewish´s World contributions in the construction and expansion of Christian´s religion. Subsequently, the beliefs and ideas present in the Mediterranean world at the time of the emergence and spread of Christianity are discussed. Bearing in mind that every discourse can be constituted by representations that, linked to social subjects, express appreciations of the world, the aforementioned documentary body was then analyzed in order to perceive the representations constructed by these documents from categories more specific to this religious group – God, Christ, Resurrection, Church, Martyrdom, World, cosmological order and time. Finally, in order to relate the research to the teaching of history, a case of study was carried out, in which the way how the didactic books were used at Escola Estadual Alcides Wanderley – the place where the author of the survey works – approached the subject of primitive´s Christianity. It was noticed that all the didactic works presented a similar narrative sequence: emergence and expansion of Christianity, persecution by the Roman Empire and conquest of religious freedom through Emperor Constantine. This approach privileges a factual story based on the highlight of some main events and characters, but leaves out the perception of the world adopted by the first Christians. In order to overcome this gap, a Didactic Sequence was developed and applied that linked the narrative sequence of textbooks with the presentation of the world view of early´s Christians through the use of two of the analyzed documents - The Martyrdom of Polycarp and The Epistle to Diognetus.

  • The study of local history is configured as an important instrument for historical learning, helping and stimulating the development of the awareness of students as local citizens. As a teacher in the basic education network, I noticed challenges regarding the local theme, mainly involving the scarcity of teaching materials for teaching and student use. In this sense, thinking about contributing to a more meaningful, human and intelligible history teaching, the present research intends to answer the following problem: how to use the newspaper O Jaguaribe to teach local history in the classroom? Thus, the main objective of this dissertation is to reflect on the didactic uses of the newspaper O Jaguaribe, thinking about local history from this journalistic source produced in Aracati in the mid-1930s. I structured this dissertation in three parts. In the first chapter, I reflect on the instrumentalization of historical sources and local history in the school domain. Therefore, I approach the newspaper O Jaguaribe from a history teaching perspective, dealing with its didactic potential. In the second chapter, I aim to historicize the newspaper O Jaguaribe. Briefly sketching the history of the press in Ceará and Aracati, I deal with the historical context in which the weekly Aracati appeared, in order to elucidate its place of production. In the third chapter, I present the Didactic Guide to Local History in the pages of the newspaper O Jaguaribe, developed from my reflections during the writing process, proposing a material that considers the various aspects of the investigated Aracatiense newspaper, containing discussions that cover the place , regionally and nationally, serving as support for high school teachers and students.

  • This research presents as its theme the use of the cultural heritage of the city of Pau dos Ferros- RN and its places of memory, as potential articulators for the development of local history teaching, when used in a contextualized way and allowing students to participate in the analysis. of these assets. However, the objective is to problematize the relationship of students of Escola Estadual Professora Maria Edilma de Freitas, especially those who attended high school, specifically the 3rd grade, during the year 2021, about their perceptions and understandings about the city where they live. In this sense, the aim is to use a didactic game as a pedagogical tool to make this contact with the local heritage and the history of Pau dos Ferros-RN, in order to insert this theme in the practice of the school curriculum, seeking student protagonism in the process of construction and development of historical teaching and learning.
