  • Resumen Espectáculo
  • Desertification is configured as a process of serious environmental degradation, likely to occur in arid, semi-arid and dry sub-humid climate zones on planet Earth. Since the second half of the 20th century, it has been addressed in the scientific and diplomatic debate within the scope of the United Nations, in the conferences that make up its international environmental agenda. In Brazil, this degradation has the most favorable territory for its occurrence in the Brazilian semi-arid region, including the existence of desertification nuclei, which are areas where degradation has reached its ecumene. The causes are socio-environmental, linked to a fragility of the territory's natural conditions and the intense use of resources, especially with agropastoral activities. At the national level there is recognition of this problem in scientific research, and at the institutional level with action programs to combat desertification and mitigate the effects of droughts. For these reasons, the dissertation that is intended to qualify has the general objective of analyzing the susceptibility to desertification and its relationship with the uses of the territory in the sedimentary portion of the Apodi-Mossoró river basin. Specifically: to characterize the environmental systems of the sedimentary portion of the Apodi/Mossoró river basin; to identify the history of use and occupation and its relationship with the susceptibility to desertification in the study area and to know the level of susceptibility to desertification in the study area. In order to do so, it is supported by the methodological framework of Bertrand's Geosystem (2004) to carry out an integrated analysis of the landscape in order to know the geoenvironmental conditions of the basin and to support the application of geobiophysical and socioeconomic indicators from a matrix formulated by Abraham and Beeckman. (2006).

  • Resumen Espectáculo
  • In Brazil, the Unified Health System (SUS) is the result of great popular struggles for a more democratic health. We can consider Primary Care (PC) as the basis for the function of knowing social and spatial realities better than any other level of care. The PNAB points out that it is the duty of the professionals who make up the PHC to execute territorialization as a strategy to plan the performance of the service. How is territorialization perceived by the health secretaries of the cities of the VI Health Region of RN? The general objective of this work is to evaluate how territorialization is understood and used by the health secretaries of the VI URSAP. The specific objectives are: to describe the profile of the health secretaries of the VI URSAP; understand the dynamics of use of territorialization in the VI URSAP; to know how territorialization contributes to the health planning process. Descriptive study of a qualitative nature. It developed in the 37 municipalities of VI URSAP. The research participants were health secretaries. Data collection took place through interviews. Data were analyzed using the content analysis method by thematic categories. The categories of analysis were: managers' knowledge about territorialization in health; the relationship between territorialization and health planning; the professional training of health managers and the relationship with the understanding and use of territorialization in health planning and the political and administrative obstacles and challenges for the effectiveness of health planning based on the territorialization of AB. Only 15 health secretaries agreed to participate in the survey, which represents only about 40.6% of the total sample. There was a greater participation of people who fall within the age group between 40 and 49 years old. About 67% of the participants declare themselves white and 74% are women. 14 managers reported having higher education. Nursing training stands out with about 44%. Only 02 municipalities have territorialization carried out. Territorialization is associated only with the organization of the work process of the Community Health Agents (ACS), in the division of areas and micro areas and delimitation of the performance of a certain Basic Health Unit (UBS). there is an association in the lines of territorialization with planning, but these aspects are not experienced in practice. It appears that there is a clear difference in thinking on the subject, depending on the training area. Within the health area, some professionals indicate little familiarity with the subject in question. The research participants point out challenges in relation to the insufficient workforce within the teams, the lack of financial support and the overload of bureaucratic issues in the routine of the health manager. Territorialization, therefore, is still poorly understood, but this study shows the sensitivity of the secretaries about its importance to guide planning.

  • Resumen Espectáculo
  • Basic sanitation is a set of fundamental services for regional development and for the socioeconomic development of municipalities, which involves actions related to water supply, sanitary sewage, collection and treatment of solid waste and urban drainage (BRASIL, 2007). In Brazil, this service is guaranteed by the Federal Constitution of 1988 and initially regulated by Law 1445/2007 which, among other provisions, adopts the principle of universalization of services. This same law also distributes the attributions regarding the planning of sanitation actions to the Union, states and municipalities. These municipalities are responsible for the task of implementing a Municipal Basic Sanitation Policy and the construction and implementation of a Municipal Basic Sanitation Plan (PMSB) that reflects local needs, desires and potential. According to Rodrigues et al. (2018), in 2018, more than 90% of the municipalities in RN still did not have their plans completed. Of these, 50% had the document under preparation. Also, the date stipulated by the federal government for the completion of the PMSB, initially December 2013, was repeatedly postponed until the deadline of December 2022 (BRASIL, 2020). Thus, this research has the general objective of understanding the current situation of construction and implementation of Municipal Basic Sanitation Plans in the municipalities of the Apodi-Mossoró river basin, with a focus on the Alto Oeste Potiguar region. The research is justified by the importance of studying basic sanitation management for regional development and territorial planning. In this way, we will develop a descriptive and exploratory research, with qualitative and quantitative approaches. For data collection, a documental research will be carried out, in official databases of the federal government and of the cities surveyed, and the application of a questionnaire with the managers and technicians responsible for the elaboration of the PMSB. In the end, we intend to answer the questioning: In what situation are the Municipal Sanitation Plans in the municipalities that make up the watershed of the Apodi-Mossoró River, with a focus on the Alto Oeste Potiguar Region?

  • Population displacements and all the factors related to this phenomenon are important in the constitution of geographic space. Within population mobility, commuting to work or study has gained prominence. In the commuting movement for educational purposes, there is the daily displacement of higher education students. These take place between the place of their residences and the headquarters of the municipalities in which their Higher Education Institutions - HEIs are located. In this perspective, the general objective of this work is to analyze the commuting movements and their consequences in the daily commute of undergraduate students from Aurora (CE) to the host cities of their respective HEIs, motivated by recent policies of democratization and interiorization of higher education in Brazil. This is a research of a mixed nature, as it combines both quantitative and qualitative methods, and an exploratory one, as it is a case study. For the discussion of the first 03 (three) sections, a survey of the conceptual theoretical framework on migrations and commuting in Brazil, Northeast and Semiarid was carried out; Policies and Programs for the Expansion and Internalization of Higher Education in the country, focusing on the cities of Cajazeiras (PB), Crato (CE) and Juazeiro do Norte (CE); IBGE surveys and microdata collection; study by the Regional Division of Brazil into Immediate Geographic Regions and Intermediate Geographic Regions (IBGE, 2017) and the research report on Regions of Influences of Cities (REGIC, 2018), in order to characterize the hierarchy and urban network of the municipalities receiving the municipalities studied. The empirical research was divided into two stages: application of a socioeconomic questionnaire to profile the students and a semi-structured interview to analyze the possible intervening agents of daily commuting. The findings corroborate the hypothesis raised in the research that the public that practices daily commuting has fragile socioeconomic characteristics with a monthly family income of up to 02 (two) minimum wages, are mostly female, come from public schools and therefore see commuting as an alternative to access higher education. However, they are subject to daily commutes lasting hours, exposed to risks, natural weather and fatigue that end up making their academic life difficult.

  • The objective of the research is to characterize the milk production chain in the upper west region of Rio Grande do Norte. For this, information and secondary data from documents, scientific works carried out on the subject and official websites will be used, among which, IBGE, EMBRAPA, IPEA etc., as well as field research, in the processing units in order to verify with the participating producers in this context the sequence of this milk production chain with a proportional sample of milk producing establishments in the Alto Oeste Potiguar. And the specific objectives are: To group the main types of milk producers within the scope of family farming; to identify the experiences of integration of milk production with the agroindustry, especially with the small agroindustry; to analyze the form of management in the strategies of collective action through cooperatives; identify the main ways of building and accessing markets. In Brazil, dairy farming is very important in both economic and social aspects. In 2018, milk production in the country was 33.8 billion liters. The South and Southeast regions continue to lead the national production, with 34.2% and 33.9% of the total liters, respectively, the Northeast region follows in third place with 13% of the national production. National milk production grew by 1.6%, with the highest growth in the Northeast region. (Milk Yearbook, 2019). In the economic sphere, not only management, but how good management is one of the primary ways to achieve a good result in terms of productivity and product sales on the property. In this sense, it is also important to have as an objective for this good management the planning of the activities that will be carried out, as well as the way of selling and producing milk. In this way the work is justified, primarily, by the importance that agriculture, in general, and the dairy activity, in particular, had in the economic development and in the survival of a considerable part of the population in the past centuries until the present day, as well as by the socioeconomic relevance of the activity, since the data related to the study area indicate the presence of dairy cattle in all municipalities.

  • Resumen Espectáculo
  • Introduction: The 21st century is marked by wars, pandemics, environmental destruction, economic and social crises, and amidst all this, man emerges as the protagonist in the appropriation of goods and bodies, often through violence. This indicates the urgency to rethink the historically assigned roles of men within society. Objective: In this regard, the present study aims to analyze patterns of masculinity and violence against gays and transvestites individuals in the city of Catolé do Rocha, located in the sertão (arid land) of Paraíba, Brazil. In this interim, it is important to introduce the concept of heteroterrorism and highlight the indicators of violence against LGBTQIAPN+ individuals in Brazil and in the state, focusing on the specificities of the studied territory. Methodology: To achieve this, this social research has a descriptive and qualitative nature, selecting gay and transgenders individuals residing in the city of Catolé do Rocha-PB through the snowball technique, with in-person interviews guided by a semi-structured script. The data were analyzed using Bardin's Content Analysis technique, aiming to identify machism attitudes that evidence the investigated types of violence. Results: The identified difficulties included: fragility of public policies in protecting rights; exclusion, violence, social control, misinformation, and regression strengthened by macho culture. Considerations: This study highlights the courage and resistance of gays and tranvestites individuals in the discussed territory, emphasizes the scarcity of publications on the subject in the interior of the Paraíba countryside, contributes to theoretical construction and internalization of these studies, encourages local LGBTQIAPN+ activism, and calls for social, institutional, and individual efforts to eradicate discriminatory, prejudiced, and violent attitudes.

  • The Psychosocial Care Network (RAPS) is the implementation of the principles of the National Policy on Mental Health, Alcohol and Drugs, replacing asylum care with community-based care focused on the concept of territory. In Brazil, the pandemic touted existing problems such as social inequality, populations living in risky conditions of housing and sanitation, without access to water and in agglomeration situation, emerging discussions about territory and the health-disease process that is common at different levels. intervention of public health and psychosocial care policies to be fragmented from this context. The study aims to analyze how the RAPS is structured and its relationship with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in the VI Health Region of Rio Grande do Norte. From the perspective of investigating scientific evidence from the dialogue between territorialization, vulnerability and SDGs; to verify the composition and intersectoral articulation of the RAPS foreseen in the State and Municipal Health Plans in the VI Health Region; understand the relationship between integrality in mental health care and the SDGs (3, 6); to prepare a map indicating the main points of the RAPS in the VI Health Region and the municipalities that these services cover. This is a descriptive and documentary study with a qualitative approach, it will be carried out in 03 municipalities of the VI Region of RN, it will have the health secretaries and RAPS professionals as study participants, a semi-structured interview script was prepared and for data analysis Bardin's content analysis technique. The research will have ethical judgment by the Ethics and Research Committee CEP/UERN supported by the principles of ethics in research, following resolution 466 of December 2012.

  • Resumen Espectáculo
  • This research analyzed the provision of mental health care services aimed at 15 municipalities in the hinterland of the State of Paraíba. The research proposition originated due to changes in the National Mental Health Policy that represent an antithesis of the ethical and technical reference of the Brazilian psychiatric reform, implemented without any debate with professionals, users, and researchers in the field of psychosocial care, ignoring legal instances such as advice, conferences and demands as a whole. In this way, we understand that we are facing a problem born with the dismantling of public Mental Health after decades of struggle for the implementation of Law 10,216 - Psychiatric Reform Law - and Ordinance 3,088/11 that establishes the Psychosocial Care Network. We established a bibliographical review of the main categories of the study: psychiatric reform and counter-reform, associated with documental research of the central legislations referring to mental health. With a qualitative approach, this research also used a technique, a questionnaire applied in person, in which the responses of health professionals and managers about the supply of mental health services and the Mental Health Policy were analyzed. Data were analyzed descriptively based on Bardin's (2016) content analysis, which provided a subsidy for this discussion. Technical and managerial difficulties were identified in the provision of mental health services in the territory of the 9th Regional Health Management of Paraíba, highlighting the lack of planning, training for professionals, lack of resources, the disorders caused by the counter-reform and, above all, lack of knowledge of the laws that govern the current theme, subtracting the right of the user with a mental disorder in its territory. However, we identified during this research that the transition has a much more paradigmatic character, with an orientation profile than a more effective modification in the practices of mental health services and in the structures that govern it.

  • Resumen Espectáculo
  • The expansion of the territory goes beyond the geographical boundaries, it is an approach that pleads social and economic issues, especially when referring to the process of expansion of the urban fabric as a condition for employment and income conditions. The resources invested cannot be merely financial, as expansion is also an urban phenomenon that has repercussions on the geographic space and, consequently, on life and well-being. In this context, it is necessary to reflect on the sanitation conditions in the health territory, considering that health and development are intrinsic. Thus, the general objective of the research is to analyze the organization of the offer of the health service to families in the context of the expansion of the territory of the basic units in the municipality of Pau dos Ferros, RN. This is a descriptive and exploratory study of predominantly qualitative character. The research will be carried out in three stages: Stage 1 – consists of collecting secondary data from the SUS information system. Stage 2 – participation of 6 nurses and 16 ACS who will answer the pre-prepared questionnaire. Step 3 – technique of observing the environment. The analysis will be carried out in two methodological perspectives, comprising aspects of Zanelli and the method of observing the environment. The dissertation will be structured in the understanding of the role of primary health care in the organization of the territory, making a bridge with the sanitation conditions and well-being of the population.

  • Resumen Espectáculo
  • The Apodi-Mossoró River basin covers an area of 14,276 km², corresponding to 26.8% of the estimated area of the state. It is inserted in the region where the caatinga biome predominates. The watershed of the Apodi-Mossoró River is genuinely Potiguar, from its source in the Luís Gomes mountains to its mouth, between the municipalities of Areia Branca and Grossos, covering approximately 210 km along this path. It has 618 dams, totaling a volume of 27.4 and 10.7 of the total dams and accumulated volumes in the state. The study and analysis of such springs is essential to understand and enable ways to minimize the negative environmental impacts caused over time in these areas. It is taken into account that the environmental impact caused by man does not occur on such a short time scale. And, for this reason, the study aims to analyze the use and land cover in areas of headwaters of the upper course of the Apodi-Mossoró River, in the period between 1987 and 2021, investigating the extent to which human action caused changes in the environment. . After analysis, mitigation measures are proposed aiming at a better preservation/conservation of these areas.

  • Desertification is a socio-environmental problem that affects dry lands par excellence - arid, semi-arid and dry sub-humid areas - resulting from natural conditions and the aggravation of human actions, causing rupture, irreversibility of these environments and compromising the lives of populations. In this sense, this investigation is centered on the issue of desertification and the methodological repercussions of the geobiophysical indicators of desertification. To do so, it starts from the following problem: What are the levels of susceptibility to desertification in the crystalline portion of the Apodi-Mossoró Hydrographic Basin? The general objective is to analyze the susceptibility to desertification in the crystalline portion of the Apodi-Mossoró Hydrographic Basin; specifically; carry out geoenvironmental characterization of the crystalline portion of the Apodi-Mossoró watershed; to know the history of territorial use and occupation and the current socioeconomic activities of the area; identify levels of susceptibility to desertification in the study area through geobiophysical indicators. From the methodological point of view, the research is classified as applied in nature, explanatory by the objectives adopted and when the way of approaching the problem is quantitative-qualitative, in relation to the study design, characterized by the execution procedures, it is bibliographical, documentary , survey and field. Therefore, it is important to highlight that this procedural rite takes place in two main stages: in the office and in the field. The research has as its study location the Apodi-Mossoró watershed, narrowly the territorial cut of its crystalline portion, with an area of 7,352,784 km2, housing 57 municipalities, some partially inserted. In its entirety, the Apodi-Mossoró basin presents a geological singularity that conditions all its landscape dynamics. It is divided into two geological terrains: Precambrian crystalline basement in its upper and middle upper reaches, part of this study, and Mesozoic and Cenozoic sedimentary units of the Potiguar basin in the lower middle to lower reaches. Regarding the geoenvironmental behavior of the crystalline portion, considering the geomorphological element, it is possible to specialize five environmental systems in the area, namely: Residual Massif of São Miguel and Luís Gomes, Residual Massif of Martins and Portalegre, Sertões dissecados of Pau dos Ferros, Sertões Campo Grande and Rio Apodi fluvial plains.

  • The Health Care Network (RAS) seeks to promote comprehensive care and is organized in horizontal relationships between the points of care, whose communication and coordination center is Primary Health Care (PHC), considered one of the most strong predictors in the screening of chronic non-communicable diseases (NCDs), such as cancer. Cervical cancer (CCU) specifically, is the fourth type of cancer that most affects women globally. The variable is similar with regard to Brazil and the Northeast, a region that comprises a large part of the semiarid region. After the publication of the Ordinance that instituted the National Policy for Oncology Care (PNAO), the control of the CCU is contemplated in state and municipal health plans, as one of the priority goals included in the management commitment term, involving the different spheres in accountability. of the control of this cancer aiming at actions to strengthen the prevention, diagnosis and treatment network. However, with regard to the management of care for women with CC who live in the semi-arid region of the state of Rio Grande do Norte, it is believed that there are still some obstacles to its full implementation, such as the difficulty of accessing reference services, the scrapping of services, the inefficiency in the follow-up, the still inefficient knowledge on the part of professionals and managers about the correct reference of these patients in the HCN, among many others, in addition to the fact that CCU mainly affects more vulnerable women, with low education and income and with less access to information. , a reality still very present in this region. Based on the above, the general objective is: to analyze the management of care for women with CC in the RAS in the upper west of Potiguar and as specific objectives: to understand the oncology care network as a public policy for the VI Region; to capture the perception of service managers and regulators about the attention to users undergoing CCU treatment; to identify the main instruments for the promotion, prevention and treatment of CCU developed in the municipalities of the VI Region. This is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach to be carried out in the VI Health Region of the State of Rio Grande do Norte, with the city of Pau dos Ferros/RN as the main hub. The municipal health managers of the 37 municipalities that make up the VI Region, the Technical Officers (RT) of systems of the health secretariats or professionals who carry out regulatory activities, in addition to 01 representative of the AAPCMR from the Pau dos Ferros nucleus will participate in the research. Data collection will take place in two stages: initially, a semi-structured interview will be applied with the health secretaries, as well as the representative of the AAPCMR; the second stage will be aimed at the RT of the municipalities through a questionnaire. The analysis of qualitative data will be performed according to Bardin's content analysis method. The research will undergo an ethical review, as provided for in Resolution 466/2012.

Currently, the São Francisco River Integration Project with the Northeastern Northeastern Hydrographic Basins (PISF) is the main work of the Federal Government that aims to guarantee water sustainability and economic development for the northeastern semi-arid region, however this has been the subject of intense criticism. and inquiries. From this context, the present research aims to analyze the limits and centralities of the Interconnection of the São Francisco watershed with the northeastern watersheds (PISF) in the immediate region of Pau dos Ferros - RN (Ramal Apodi) that integrates the North axis of the project. To this end, the research is configured in four sections: Introductory notes on the object of study, justification and theoretical-methodological framework of the research; water resources management and drought in the northeastern semi-arid region: a historical approach; the PISF from the perspective of territorial planning and an analysis of the limits and centralities of the PISF in the immediate region of Pau dos Ferros - RN. As methodological procedures, we intend to carry out a literature review, using past scientific productions that address the PISF (articles, dissertations and theses); media reports published in virtual communication media will also be used, as well as documental analyzes related to both the design and execution of the PISF infrastructure and the management and operationalization plans of the Apodi branch. Thus, we believe that this research can contribute to produce knowledge about a work as important for the northeastern semi-arid region as the PISF, moving towards understanding points such as: benefited municipalities, potential flows, storage structures and volumes available for the various activities, availability of water use permits, expenses with operating the system, access to water use by the various social groups in the immediate region of Pau dos Ferros - RN.

  • The debate on the issue of gender in the country is a topic that deserves to be highlighted in contemporary times. With the growth of sociopolitical ultraconservatism, the strengthening of patriarchy and the increase of violence against women in Brazilian territory are experienced. This research aims to understand the perceptions of gender in the narratives of teachers and students in high school from the work Memorial de Maria Moura by the author Rachel de Queiroz. The research will have as locus the 3rd year class of the Escola Integral Cidadã Estadual de Ensino Fundamental e Médio Francisco Maia to observe how students understand the gender theme and its relationships at the end of the last stage of basic education. As methodological procedures to carry out this study, an exploratory research with a qualitative approach is proposed as a method. As it is a social research, action research will be used, as well as the field study. Bibliographic and documentary research will still be used to support the theoretical and conceptual construction of this work. As a data collection instrument, a semi-structured interview script will be applied and the content analysis technique will be used for their interpretation. This research aims to contribute to discussions on the study of gender in the school environment, guided by the debate on overcoming discrimination, prejudice and violence against women, from the perspective of literature. The school can undoubtedly help in the deconstruction of social stigmas, especially with regard to the issue of gender equity in the development of the territories in which they are inserted.

  • Resumen Espectáculo
  • The relationship between financial accumulation and (socio) economic development is observed in classical authors of economic literature, such as Marx (1996), Schumpeter (1997), Harvey (2005), Keynes (1996), Furtado (2005), among other authors. The development of the financial market, regarding the role played by the Credit and Capital Markets, has increased the accumulation of wealth, especially through the financing of industry, commerce, and other dynamic sectors of the capitalist economy. As a result, regions with potential levels of financial development have achieved greater success in terms of quality of life and development in their territories. In this context, this present dissertation work seeks to investigate the influence of the financial market on the economic dynamics of the development of the Brazilian Northeast and its relationship with capital, territory, and wealth generation in recent years (2012 to 2022). Specific objectives include: studying the historical role of the financial market in the formation of the northeastern economy; describing the theoretical and historical relationship between territory, capital, wealth generation, and regional development; investigating the dynamics of the financial market and capital flow as a vector for wealth generation and development in the Brazilian Northeast in recent years (2012 to 2022). This is an exploratory, bibliographic, and qualitative-quantitative research. As for the quantitative investigation, the data were obtained from the databases of Bacen, B3, Anbima, IPEA, Rais, among others. Regarding the results, it is observed that the trend of banking and financial concentration in the state of São Paulo is higher than in other locations in Brazil, especially in the entire Northeast. The historical success and growth of São Paulo explain most of the success of this market. On the other hand, the socio-economic indicators, poverty, wealth, savings levels, and employment in the Northeast reflect a lower financial dynamic in the region. Finally, we find, considering the challenge proposed in this work, based on the theoretical and empirical arsenal discussed, that the financial/capital sector tends to concentrate where there is a greater possibility of reproduction, valorization, and accumulation.

  • Education in Brazil still faces many problems that resulted from its historical process. Within this context, rural education arises with social movements to meet the needs of subjects who live in the countryside, the changes that took place in rural education, especially agricultural modernization, were important to think about rural education, however, it was the movements that leveraged the 1990s in Brazil, bringing countless discussions and contributions to the construction of an education that respected the culture and diversity of rural subjects. Therefore, this work aims to analyze how the construction of knowledge takes place from the perception of the teachers of the core I of teaching in the rural area of Luís Gomes RN. Starting from the following study question: what is the impression of the teachers of the Nucleus I of Education in the Rural Area of Luís Gomes - RN about the construction of knowledge in the field? In this sense, we adopted the design of qualitative research as a methodological process. We had as anchor for the research discussions the studies of Caldart (2004,2011), Carvalho (2005), Freire (2021), Leite (1999), Mattos (2004), Molina (2010,2012) among other authors that discuss the ongoing theme. The research will be carried out in three schools located in the rural area of Luís Gomes-RN: Rafael Gomes de Lima Teaching Unit, Pe. Raimundo Osvaldo Rocha and Hermógenes Batista Teaching Unit. To carry out the research, we opted for some investigative instruments typical of qualitative research, such as: classroom observation, semi-structured interviews with professors. Therefore, the work presented brings an approach about the paradigms that arise around the rural educator as well as about rural education, its formation and its role as a teacher.

  • Resumen Espectáculo
  • The Immediate Geographic Region of Cajazeiras is located in the extreme west of Paraíba and has 12 municipalities, namely: Bom Jesus, Bonito de Santa , Cachoeira dos Índios, Cajazeiras, Carrapateira, Monte Horebe, Poço de José de Moura, Santa Helena, São João do Rio do Peixe, São José de Piranhas, Serra Grande and Triunfo. Together, the municipalities have a population estimate of more than 155 thousand inhabitants, distributed in a territory of 2,963.6 square kilometers, considered a relevant population contingent. This paper presents the central problem about the temporal and spatial amplitude of hydrometeorological disasters that occur in the Immediate Geographic Region of Cajazeiras/PB, triggered by intense and extreme rainfall events. Therefore, this problem was delimited by the hypothesis that, if hydrometeorological natural disasters are triggered by intense and extreme rainfall events, then it is necessary to verify information about the capacity of these events to produce impacts in the geographic space, the dimension of the damage on a regional scale and the challenges and criteria for the creation of public policies aimed at protecting society in the face of damages. which includes, in the face of these conjunctures, the environmental analysis to the detriment of the socio-environmental environment, as well as the necessary planning in the face of the current realities of the territories. Despite the finding that intense and extreme rainfall events trigger hydrological disasters, the issue of records of hydrological and geological disasters associated with the occurrence of rainfall events in a larger staggering amplitude, i.e., on a regional scale, has not yet been explored. This work, based on three relevant concepts: Geographic Region, Regional Climatology and Natural Disasters, had its theoretical structure based on the rainfall characteristics of the Immediate Geographic Region of Cajazeiras/PB, with emphasis on Natural Disasters associated with extreme rainfall events in the territories and presented as a general objective to evaluate the occurrence of natural disasters associated with intense and extreme rainfall events in the Immediate Geographic Region of Cajazeiras/PB between 2003 and 2021. To meet the objectives, six steps were necessary: 1) Bibliographic research; 2) Collection of rainfall data; 3) Organization and treatment of data in spreadsheets; 4) Identification of the impacts caused by extreme rainfall events and the resulting natural disasters; 5) Analysis of the data obtained through the observation of the indicators considered in the research and 6) Spatial representation of climate information and natural disasters through thematic maps on a regional scale and for each municipality. A total of 16 hydrometeorological disasters were identified in the region, two in 2004, nine in 2008 and 5 in 2009. In the analysis of the event that has a damage assessment record AVADAN, it was found that the damages occurred both with impacts on society and on environmental systems. Among the human damage recorded, the total number of people directly affected stands out: 379 people, where damaged and destroyed homes were counted, with the most direct impact on people. It was found that the municipalities of Triunfo, Poço de José de Moura and São João do Rio do Peixe can be considered the critical area of the Immediate Geographic Region of Cajazeiras to adverse events of a hydrometeorological nature due to natural conditions, land use and occupation, occurrence of rainfall events and vulnerability to flooding, whether in fluvial stretches or throughout the municipality.

  • The objective is to analyze the importance of small businesses to boost the economy of the Alto Oeste Potiguar territory, interpreting and explaining the role of public policies in entrepreneurship actions. The aim is to understand strategies and the determining factors in the generation of opportunities from the economic chains and the pace of movement of financial resources in the municipalities of the territory. As a methodology, an analysis of the role played by small businesses will be carried out in search of greater learning, efficiency and better results, where entrepreneurship contributes to the expansion of inclusion opportunities for the population. In addition, an attempt will be made to elaborate a typology to classify and group small businesses in the Alto Oeste Potiguar territory, considering selected criteria or indicators, especially within the scope of the Brazilian Service of Support for Micro and Small Companies (SEBRAE). In this sense, we have the research question: considering an economic environment in the semi-arid region that is still fragile, not very inclusive and dependent on transfers, what are the contributions of entrepreneurship through small businesses in boosting the regional economy of the Alto Oeste Potiguar territory? As an assumption, the territory has potential production chains in agriculture, industry, commerce and services with various types of small businesses that stand out for their ability to boost the municipalities of the Alto Oeste Potiguar territory. As a result, we will have determining factors for the dynamics of business at the municipal level and a favorable environment for the generation and expansion of opportunities, as well as territorial and regional development policies, in addition to the importance of planning. In conclusion, it is worth highlighting the Brazilian Regional Policy and the Regional Development Policy (PNDR), from 2003, resulting from development policies created to stimulate the economic dynamics of the Northeast based on small businesses at the municipal and territorial level.

  • Resumen Espectáculo
  • The bureaucratic-authoritarian regimes exposed by the military dictatorships in Latin America weakened the functioning of the state apparatus with excessive centralization, management problems, authoritarianism and oppression, which facilitated, in the late 1980s, the exaltation of a powerful discourse coming from the neoliberalism in which the State, in order to achieve development, should reduce its size. Many governments pressured by financial contracts and debt refinancing from International Financing Organizations (OIFs), began to privatize their services, often illegally and under the hands of corruption, handing over transnational companies and many of them profitable to private management, such as, for example, telephone, railway, electric energy, air transport services, as well as basic services of an essentially social nature, which are water supply and sewage treatment. In Brazil, with the need to attract financial resources for the expansion of sanitation to the most vulnerable locations, the political actors that make up the country's elective framework, with neoliberal postures and free trade disseminators in command of the economy, believe that the private service it will solve the still persistent problem of universalization in the distribution of water and collection with sewage treatment. These actors moved towards the approval of Law nº 14.026/2020, which deals with the alteration of legislation related to Brazilian Basic Sanitation, meeting the wishes of those who aspire for privatist proposals for this sector and for the dismantling of public service providers. With a bibliographical and documentary research, the aim is to describe the basic sanitation service in Brazil and the international experiences of neoliberal policies on sanitation until the vote on the new legal framework, and, with field research, it will be possible to characterize sanitation in the region of Alto Oeste Potiguar, semiarid region of the State of Rio Grande do Norte, being able to quantitatively assess the evolution of service provision and qualitatively the challenges expected from the perspective of public managers towards state and municipal sanitation companies. The approach is directly linked to the needs of families in socioeconomic vulnerability, considering that the provision of public services should not be guided by profitability, but by the desire to solve social problems and reach health and well-being.

  • The health of graduate students seems to go unnoticed in the eyes of the national graduate policy and the assessment body. However, the importance of proposing policies aimed at preserving researchers' health and quality of life is undeniable. Illness in the academic environment can compromise personal, professional, and academic aspects, both in relation to production and meeting deadlines, as well as the permanence of students in the programs. For that, we have as research object a regionalized analysis of the scientific production and health perception of masters and masters graduated in the area of Urban and Regional Planning in the Semiarid Region. In this sense, we have as research questions: What is the perception of health of master's students and program graduates? Do program actions impact regional academic/scientific production? How is the health of masters and graduates in Urban and Regional Planning in the Semiarid region in the pandemic context? The objective of the research is to analyze scientific development indicators in the area of Urban and Regional Planning in the Semiarid Region and the impacts on the health of students and graduates. Therefore, the research will use the quantitative-qualitative approach, being developed based on three types of research: bibliographic, descriptive and field, characterizing itself as a mixed method. Data collection will be done through an online questionnaire through Google Forms. The collection instrument will be sent to the secretaries of the programs by email, who must share it with the 2019 and 2020 masters and graduates of the 2017 and 2018 classes, with a minimum sample of 83 participants. The analysis of quantitative data will be through descriptive statistics and qualitative data by content analysis. The Perceived Stress Scale – PSS will be analyzed as preceded by Luft, Sanches, Mazo and Andrade (2007). The study will provide valuable information for programs, students and future researchers who dialogue and seek to understand health in the academic and regional context. In addition to bringing the topic to academic debate, it is expected that, based on the results, the programs will promote lectures and events on the subject. As well, consult the feasibility of implementing specialized care within the institution aimed at the needs of graduate researchers.

  • The gender debate in the countryside is an issue that deserves to be highlighted, given the high disparity in relationships, ways of working, access to public policies and management. The general objective of this work is to understand how the process of social organization of rural women workers has enabled their role in the productive space of family agriculture in the rural area of the city of São Miguel/RN. The research locus was the Union of Rural Workers of São Miguel/RN. For the materialization of this study, a qualitative approach was used, with a field study, combined with the bibliographic and documentary base, giving support to the theoretical and conceptual construction of the investigation. As a collection instrument, direct observation and semi-structured interviews were used, with open questions, aimed at workers associated with the Union and at the institution's employees. For data analysis, descriptive and interpretive analysis was used as a technique, with the purpose of presenting, deepening and elucidating the interviewees' statements. The survey results show engagement of rural workers in the Union, however, this participation takes place from the link through benefits and/or credit lines. In the organizational process, there is no mobilization or articulation around the development of affirmative public policies for women, specifically. It is still necessary to move forward and promote initiatives in this sense, even if involvement occurs, the movement is not actually enabling workers to mobilize around their collective needs.

  • The research aims to analyze the participation of women in commerce in Pau dos Ferros, a city located in the west of Rio Grande do Norte, within the scope of commercial establishment owners, employees and consumers in the city from 2005 to 2020. as a key question: what is the participation of women in the commercial sector of the city of Pau dos Ferros? The methodological approach follows a quali-quantitative approach, from the understanding of the empirical object through association with statistical data, analysis and theoretical discussions. The city of Pau dos Ferros presents itself in the region with a leading role for concentrating establishments providing specialized services, as well as for having a number and diversity of businesses. Women are increasingly inserted in the commercial sector of the city as owners, comprising 56% of the city's total, which highlights their importance in commanding the commercial spaces in the city. It is hoped that this work can be the result of many others with this theme regarding the participation of women in commerce and that it may allow reflections on how women are a fundamental “piece” in the dynamics and organization of the city's spaces.

  • Public Policies are configured as tools to solve the population's problems and needs or as a way to alleviate them. They can be implemented through programs, projects, laws and involve a variety of actors, values and interests for their formulation process and can take on different spaces. The Ministry of Health has implemented important policies to combat Chronic Non-Communicable Diseases. Primary Health Care is the gateway to access health services and plays an important role in the prevention of Chronic Non-Communicable Diseases and in their control strategies, through the Family Health Strategy. In Brazil, these pathologies are a major health problem that strongly affects poor sections of the population and more vulnerable groups. This is a descriptive study with a quanti-qualitative approach that uses documentary and field research techniques. The research will be carried out in the municipality of Pau dos Ferros, located in the semiarid region of the Northeast, in the Alto Oeste Potiguar region. Part of the study will be of a documentary nature, through information contained in the e-SUS system, for an epidemiological survey and another part will be field research in Basic Health Units in the city. The survey of epidemiological data will be through the e-SUS APS system. The sample has as planned the quantitative of 100% of professionals that make up the minimum teams of the ESF, these being Nurses, Physicians and Community Health Agents and at least 5 users with chronic non-communicable diseases in each unit. The analysis of qualitative data will be through Bardin Content Analysis and quantitative through descriptive statistical analysis, with the aid of Microsoft Excel.

  • Resumen Espectáculo
  • In recent years, with urban sprawl, population growth and changing habits of
consumption occurred in Brazilian municipalities, unbridled generations of solid waste, which
consequently have brought numerous impacts to the environment, such as the degradation of
environmental quality; and the socioeconomic environment, in the face of health problems and spending on
investments in public policies. The search for adequacy to Law No. 12305 of 2010, which
establishes the National Solid Waste Policy -PNRS brings several obstacles to management
therefore, the present work aims to analyze the management of solid waste
municipalities in the semi-arid, as well as their socio-environmental consequences from the
analysis of solid waste management of 04 municipalities (Tenente Ananias, Alexandria, Pilões and
Marcelino Vieira), which correspond to the municipalities to be served by the
Transhipment of Alexandria, in the state of Rio Grande do Norte. The research was outlined by the
development of the following topics: (i) general aspects of solid waste; (ii) impacts
of solid waste; iii) legal aspects and environmental management of solid waste; and
iv) integrative review. The study is qualitative and quantitative in nature, using concepts
and data found in the literature, databases and institutional websites. As for the
procedures, it is intended to conduct survey, mapping with UAV, evaluation
environmental impact (EIA) and, finally, preparation of proposals for planning and
environmental management of solid waste. Therefore, it is expected with such analyses to propose
environmental management actions for municipalities, where they can assist future work, in addition to
to enable discussions in the community that move investments to raise the
    territorial development of the semi-arid.

  • The elaboration, execution and evaluation of women's health policies are guided by the perspective of gender, race and ethnicity, breaking the boundaries of health beyond sexual and reproductive health, reaching all aspects of women's health. This research becomes relevant insofar as we intend to detect mortality determinants in women belonging to the childbearing age group and, in this way, enable the elaboration of interventions that allow the assistance of this group of women who are covered by the PNAISM. As a general objective of the research, it proposes to analyze the indices and aspects of mortality in FIM in Alto Sertão Paraibano. In order to achieve the objectives, we intend to carry out a descriptive and analytical cross-sectional and retrospective study, with a quantitative and qualitative approach, based on the tabulation of statistical data. Data collection will be performed from secondary data provided by the Informatics Department of the Brazilian Unified Health System (DATASUS). Data will be analyzed from the analysis of measures of central trends and bivariate analysis by means, correlation and association tests. A questionnaire will be applied and these will be analyzed using Bardin's method of analysis. For a better organization of the data, the spatial distribution of data will be carried out, with presentation according to historical evolution, from the construction of maps using the qgis software.

  • Resumen Espectáculo
  • This dissertation is divided into three chapters, the first will present the State, from its federative form, highlighting the division of competence existing between the federative entities: national, regional and local. In the second chapter, the aspects related to the territory are highlighted, considering the Health Care Network (RAS), based on the Ministry of Health Ordinance No. 2,436/2017, with regard to the concept of territory defended by it, and to the guidelines of territorialization and assigned population. For this purpose, the understandings of Raffestin, Ratzel and Haesbaert were used, understanding the concept of territory as a legal-political aspect, observing the role of the State in power relations, specifically when they interrelate with space, with the public health policies and territorial planning, particularly in relation to the dynamics of the micro-area 11 of the Basic Health Unit (UBS) Cristo Rei, in Cajazeiras/PB. With this, we sought to explain the existing relationships between the territory and health through a systematic literature review with an integrative review bias, consultations and bibliographic analysis, both in books, scientific articles on the subject, monographic works, journals and searches in online content. In addition, legislative diplomas and other normative documents of the national legal system were analyzed. The third and last chapter will be dedicated to the analysis of the history and creation of the Health Units, as well as to present the data and information collected in the research in relation to the perception of the users of micro-area 11, of UBS Cristo Rei. A total of 48 respondents were heard, of which 36 were users and 12 were members of the Family Health Team (eSF). Therefore, in order to participate, it was necessary to be a member of the eSF, with a specific designation by the Public Power and, in the case of users, they should reside in one of the streets Desembargador Boto de Menezes, and Travessas José Gonçalves Rolim, Antônio Inácio de Assis and Claudina Maria da Conception. Considering that the research involved human beings, it was previously submitted to the Research Ethics Committee (CEP) for analysis, whose approval was given on February 10, 2022, under the Consolidated Opinion of CEP no. 5,236,773. For this, specific questionnaires were carried out from online forms to capture the population's perception of the Health Unit, the services it develops and whether its geographic location is configured as a barrier that prevents greater access by users, considering the principles of universality and integral assistance. In the end, with the results obtained, it was verified that the proposed objectives were met, mainly because it was possible to verify that both the users and the members of the eSF demonstrated dissatisfaction with the accessibility of the Unit, with the number of daily attendances and understand that the night opening of the Unit could solve this demand.

  • Resumen Espectáculo
  • In view of the climate change scenario, renewable energies have gained greater importance, based on sustainable development and on the eminent need of countries to supply the demand and ensure energy security. Wind is considered a clean and sustainable source, and the energy contained in moving air masses is seen as one of the alternatives to fossil fuels with the greatest potential for generating electricity. Nowadays, wind energy has been showing increasing participation in the composition of the Brazilian electrical matrix. It is worth remembering about the potential of the Northeast region for this resource and the prominence of Rio Grande do Norte in the sector, creating new economic dynamics and territorial occupation in its municipalities. Therefore, this research aims to analyze in what perspective the wind activity can impact the socioeconomic and environmental context in the development of Potiguar municipalities with installed parks. The methodology used to achieve this purpose was a quali-quantitative approach using bibliographic and documentary research. The economic variables to be measured correspond to employment generation, tax collection, GDP and HDI of the municipalities.

  • Resumen Espectáculo
  • Abiotic aspects are fundamental to the maintenance of life on our planet. For this reason, several studies have been conducted with the objective of emphasizing the potentialities of geodiversity. In Brazil, on state of RN, one of the points that deserve attention is the municipality of Francisco Dantas, which has geomorphological and geological highlights in its territorial limits, adorned by rock paintings that condition greater interest for this place. In this case, the attractions present in the aforementioned municipality led us to the following question: What are the tourist potentialities that the Geodiversity of the municipality of Francisco Dantas/RN can offer to society? Thus, it is believed that, through the present study, which aims to evaluate the tourist potential ities of the geodiversity of the municipality of Francisco Dantas/RN, it is possible to clarify this issue. Therefore, the methodological path has been structured in some stages, namely: detailed bibliographic review; fieldwork; application of the GEOSSIT method, developed from the concepts of Brilha (2005) and Garcia-Cortés & Urquí (2009) and the mapping of the area, with the support of geoprocessing software. With the progress of the work, a number of significant researches were obtained, even with the joviality of the theme and, with the accomplishment of the fieldwork in the archaeological sites Congo I, II and III and in the group, we glimpsed points of exuberant geodiversity that affirm the local tourist potential.

  • Resumen Espectáculo
  • The research has as study area municipalities of Coronel João Pessoa (CJP), Pau Dos Ferros (PDF) and Rafael Fernandes (RF) located in the interior of the state of Rio Grande do Norte. They present a geoenvironmental context worthy of appreciation, are fully inserted in the domains of the Apodi-Mossoró hydrographic basin (CPRM, 2005) and comprise two sedimentary basins of the Alto Oeste Potiguar, they are the Rafael Fernandes sedimentary basin that covers two municipalities and the sedimentary basin of Coronel João Pessoa. Therefore, the research presents the following problem: what is the importance of sedimentary basins for the territorial development of the municipalities in which they are located? To answer this main question, further questions are necessary, namely: what are the geoenvironmental characteristics of the municipalities in question and how can the understanding of the geoenvironmental context of the municipalities favor territorial planning? Are the natural potentials and limitations of use of this territory respected? Are these basins potential for the development of the semiarid region, especially in the upper west of Rio Grande do Sul? From these guiding questions, the research has as general objective to understand the importance of sedimentary basins for the territorial development of the upper west of Potiguar, through the geoenvironmental analysis. João Pessoa, Pau dos Ferros and Rafael Fernandes through the recognition of the ecological potential (lithology, relief, climate, water resources), biological exploration (soil and vegetation) and human action; identify the forms of land use and occupation and the socioeconomic conditions of the surveyed municipalities; know the support capacity (natural potential and limitations of use) of the environmental systems identified in the area. This research, of basic nature, aims to be exploratory and descriptive with a quanti-qualitative approach, appropriating a field and documental study to carry out a geoenvironmental analysis of the municipalities located under the sedimentary basins of the Alto Oeste Potiguar.

  • Resumen Espectáculo
  • Solid waste management is a topic that is currently being debated, taking into account the impacts caused by the absence of public policies or their poor application. Although significant advances were notorious after the institution of the national solid waste policy, Law 12.305/2010, there is still a lot to be done. In Rio Grande do Norte, the state policy has distributed municipalities by region, and through this grouping aims to build sanitary landfills managed in a consortium in each region. The reality of municipalities in Potiguares does not differ in the national context, lack of policies aimed at managing solid waste in order to mitigate its environmental, economic, social, territorial impacts, among others. In Alto Oeste Potiguar, more precisely in the region of Pau dos Ferros, eleven municipalities are components, of which only seven are in compliance with the National Sanitation Information System. The main objective of this research was to investigate the management of solid waste in these municipalities, present its impacts and, at the same time, debate solutions and the creation of a technical-theoretical collection. For that, a bibliographical and documental research was developed, followed by a field work. The 18th SNIS report, the state solid waste policy and the field work showed the inexistence of public policies aimed at efficient solid waste management and, consequently, a scenario of pollution, landfills, lack of investments, lack of political articulation and a stalled landfill project.

  • Resumen Espectáculo
  • The study analyzed the relationship between sleep quality and high blood pressure among controls. For this, a cross-sectional, analytical and quantitative research was developed, with 87 families of farmers residing in the rural area of the city of Tenente Ananias-RN. The collection took place through experimental, semi-structured (sociodemographic and clinical data) and the Pittsburg assessment to assess sleep quality, applied in the period from Dec/2021 to Jun/2022. For the comparison of the means of systolic and diastolic blood pressure, data normality was observed, using Student's t test and ANOVA, or Mann-Whitney and Kruskal-Wallis. The association between sleep quality and arterial hypertension was analyzed using non-parametric X2 testicles and the likelihood ratio test. The linear fly analysis between difficulty sleeping (scale from 10 to 40) and sleep alteration (scale from 5 to 20) with hypertension was performed using Spearman's therapy prescription, and to compare the means of these two categories, the Student's t, ANOVA, or Mann-Whitney and Friedman. Note that the majority of the public in the rural area is comprised of males, elderly, of brown ethnicity and with low educational level. Although 40.2% reported systemic arterial hypertension, 58.7% being classified as having poor sleep quality, and 26.2% having a sleep disorder, no statistical significance was found between the variables. There were statistical associations between age group and arterial hypertension (p=0.02) and between the number of residents versus Score (p=0.05). Rheumatoid arthritis had a significant relationship with the score (p=0.02) and the age group with the score (p=0.04). Therefore, it was not possible to infer a statistical correlation between sleep quality and arterial hypertension, differing from literature data. sleep among farmers, highlighting the urgency of directing attention to this type of population, which historically has low access to health services.

  • Resumen Espectáculo
  • The way in which the occupation of the national territory and the industrialization process took place made Brazil a country marked by regional inequalities. These disparities are manifested, including access to higher education in several ways. Historically, the IES were installed in the richest regions of the country, relegating non-metropolitan and non-coastal areas to the background, making access to higher education in Brazil a privilege of a few. However, between 2003 and 2014, a virtuous cycle of growth that marked the Lula and Dilma governments made it possible to implement a set of policies for the expansion and internalization of higher education. In this way, regions in the interior of the country gained new stimuli to development, in view of the relationships between education and development. In this context, the main objective of the present work is to analyze the contributions of the internalization of public higher education to the development of the Alto Oeste Potiguar from the teaching units of Pau dos Ferros/RN. Therefore, the study was constructed through an appreciation of the literature on the interfaces between universities and development in the light of the ideas of Celso Furtado, Joseph Schumpeter, the neo-schumpeterians and Amartya Sen. In addition, it was made a review on the transformations of access to higher education in Brazil. Subsequently, a collection of secondary data was carried out, necessarily documentary, obtained from MEC, INEP, IBGE, INPI, RAIS, FIRJAN, Lattes Platform and Sucupira and official websites of the IES studied. Thus, the methodological procedures of this research are bibliographic and documentary, of a descriptive nature, with qualitative-quantitative approaches. The research hypothesis is that the region of Alto Oeste Potiguar has been developing with the presence of public universities installed in Pau dos Ferros through positive externalities directly arising from the teaching, research and extension activities of these institutions. The data collected indicated that the IES installed in Pau dos Ferros are engendering, in several facets, a process of development in the region of Alto Oeste Potiguar. In the economic sector, universities have contributed to the qualification of the regional workforce through the insertion of individuals with higher education in the labor market. Added to this is the higher remunerations associated with these workers. In addition, extension and entrepreneurship actions also cause specific improvements in the regional socioeconomic dynamics. In relation to the social and human aspects, it was found that the IES promoted the educational development of the region through indicators of adequacy of teacher training, which presented an important role in the composition of the FIRJAN Index of Municipal Development. The results also highlighted the strong generation of new knowledge and the training of masters and doctors in the region. The survey of innovation indicators showed that the institutions' innovative activity is getting stronger, although it is incipient to be characterized as a vector of regional development.

  • According to the last population census published by the IBGE in 2010, in Brazil, of the 47 million Brazilians, about 24% have some type of disability or difference that defines them as a Person with Disabilities. For this, with the gradual increase of the population over these 10 years and with the COVID-19 pandemic scenario we are experiencing, more and more dialogues about public policies that promote access to inclusion and the right to a better quality of life for these people through a comprehensive care network. The present research is a field study with an exploratory character under a qualitative approach, in order to analyze how inclusion is constituted for People with Disabilities in the territory of the VI Health Region of RN, semi-arid northeast. For this, we will bring discussions that will encompass the process of knowledge about this object of study through the perspectives of public policies that assist this audience. The look towards inclusion needs greater attention, as it is a subject that is increasingly gaining ground in society, therefore, this study will seek with its results to see possibilities and actions so that together we can think about a social body able to see the other without prejudgments or any type of objection, and a common sense of justice for everyone, in addition to understanding how this network of care is organized.

  • ABSTRACT

Throughout time, the geographic space is the result of transformations caused by human actions or activities, through their social relations. At first, this transformation occurred in the rural space, through technique and the development of economic, political, cultural relations, thus producing the territory, from the appropriation of space by human actions. It is through these relations, after the development of agriculture, being an activity that has caused great changes over time in a process of interrelation between the natural and social environment. From this perspective, the research intends to discuss the transformations caused by agricultural activity in the Chapada do Apodi-RN, emphasizing the clash between peasant family farming and agribusiness and the consequences produced by this conflict. Therefore, the research is based on the following problem: what are the consequences generated by the clash between peasant family farming and capitalist agribusiness? From this guiding question, the research has as its general objective to analyze the (re)territorial organization of agricultural production in the Chapada do Apodi/RN, considering the socio-environmental conflict between the two production models mentioned above. For this, the following specific objectives were listed: to understand the role of globalization in the process of disaggregation of agricultural spaces in the semi-arid; to evaluate territorial rural development policies with a focus on the semi-arid; to identify chronologically the dynamics of territorial construction of the Chapada do Apodi before the territorialization of capital; to problematize the socio-environmental conflicts that are established between agribusiness and peasant family agriculture. For the construction of these discussions, it is based on the following authors: Oliveira (2014); Abrão (2010); Pinto (2018); Santos (2016); Felício (2006); Albano (2014); Matos and Pessôa (2011); Filho (2006); Campos (2006) and among others that support the foundation of this research. Methodologically, the research is instrumentalized in the quanti-qualitative method, in order to interpret social relations in the territory lived by the subjects. Thus, it is characterized as an exploratory and descriptive research, based on the historical-dialectical materialism, allowing a reading of the facts related to territorial transformations caused by human beings. Therefore, we hope to obtain, with regard to the results of this research, the analysis of the socio-environmental effects caused by the actions of representatives of agribusiness in the sample community present in the Chapada do Apodi-RN, which practices peasant family agriculture and suffers from the onslaught of agribusiness.

  • The objective was to know the health management of the regulation of the patient with cardiovascular urgency and emergency in the regional context. This is a study with a qualitative approach, developed in two stages, characterized by an exploratory nature in which they were used documentational procedures, and a descriptive nature, using the field technique. The research was carried out with 25 participants, 14 of which are municipal managers belonging to the 9th Health Region of Paraíba, as well as 11 health professionals and/or directors and coordinators of the health institutions (HRC, HUJB, CR - SAMU and UPA) involved in the regulatory process in health of patients in cardiovascular emergencies in the region. Data were collected through a semi-structured questionnaire from application of the Google Forms tool, which was based on 03 organizational categories such as: Participants Profile, Perception of Public Health Policies, and Organization of Health Services. This last was subdivided into analysis categories: facilitating factors and limiting factors. In the statements analysis, evidence of the following facilitating factors was found: regulation mode and network resources. And in the limiting factors category: regulatory difficulties and PPI outdated. Based on these results, it was possible to identify that the understanding of public health policies is still very much linked to bureaucratic logic. Health managers and regulatory professionals demonstrated knowledge of the importance of health regulation policy, however, they need to expand their knowledge about the integrated components of the urgency and emergency network, according with the health needs of users. The coordination between health services occurs, but for the consolidation of the urgency and emergency network, it is still necessary to establish a continuous flow in the care of cardiovascular patients, strategies that enable communication between services within the territory.

  • Properly managing basic sanitation is an extremely important debate for the survival and development of the Brazilian population, since, despite Brazil having large freshwater sources, most of its territory suffers from the effects of drought and few policy initiatives of water resources. These reasons are enough for access to water and sanitation to stand out as major social concerns. This research intends to analyze, bring proposals and public sanitation tools that, added to the existing ones, can achieve a more comfortable and healthier situation for the population of the semiarid region. For this, it is also essential to analyze the urban expansion of the city of Cajazeiras, through satellite images available on the INPE website and Google Earth. Once the point of greatest growth is defined, new images will be made using the Drone, so that we have updated images of the location and the current situation of sanitation and the environmental impacts caused by the absence of some services. Then, a documentary investigation will be carried out at the Municipal Secretariat of Planning of Cajazeiras, to find out whether the municipality has a basic sanitation plan or not, and from an environmental management matrix, the necessary information will be obtained so that guidelines can be created that assist the public administration in decision-making on the management of basic sanitation, evaluating how and which locations are or are not being served by sanitation services. Initially, it was observed in works and in mappings made in the region through google Earth, the great highlight in the north of Cajazeiras, more precisely in the Pio X district, a needy region with a high rate of development. The next step will be the analysis of environmental impacts in this region

  • Resumen Espectáculo
  • This work aims to analyze the dynamics of the Nossa Empresa Rural Program-PNER, an informal collective organization instrument implemented in the scope of family farming, in the territorial context of the Municipality of São Francisco do Oeste/RN. For this, it considers the agricultural economy and rural development by comparing the socioeconomic diversity between beneficiaries and non-beneficiaries of the PNER. The methodology consisted of comparing the dynamics of the two groups, using secondary data from the Participatory Rural Diagnosis carried out by the local Municipal Secretariat of Agriculture and the Environment in the years 2021 and 2022, which reveal results from the choices and strategies of family farmers in the ways how they obtain and use available resources. The hypothesis is that the group of beneficiaries achieved a higher level of performance than non-beneficiaries, with trends towards greater rural development of the community included in the process. In this regard, the analysis identified that the participation of family farmers in the PNER appears as an advantageous factor for the better use of resources such as greater use of land in the agricultural exploration, less dependence of families in relation to other sources of non-agricultural income, greater livestock collection and superior milk production, as well as greater access to ATER services. In general, it is concluded that the Program is reflected as a strategy to improve the production conditions of family-based agriculture and in relation to the organization and management of the property.

  • Resumen Espectáculo
  • To investigate the expansion process of stricto sensu graduate programs that have occurred in recent years exceeds its mere measurement. It is not only a question of mapping the indexes of existing inequalities, but also promoting actions that allow the creation of instruments that result in coping with the asymmetries present in graduate school. It is the object of this study to discuss the importance of stricto sensu graduate programs in the Semiarid, properly, the postgraduate courses of the Advanced Campus of Pau dos Ferros (CAPF), of the State University of Rio Grande do Norte (UERN), located in the municipality of Pau dos Ferros/RN. In this sense, we have as a central research question: To what extent have the stricto sensu graduate programs offered at the Pau dos Ferros Advanced Campus (CAPF/UERN) contribute to the reduction of regional asymmetry? The objective is to analyze the scope of the policy of internalization of stricto sensu graduate programs in the face of overcoming regional asymmetry in the courses offered on the said campus. From a qualitative approach, we used the questionnaire as a data collection technique. We applied 209 questionnaires to graduates of stricto sensu graduate courses at CAPF/UERN to trace the profile, regional origin, training and professional performance of the subjects investigated. In addition to obtaining data from the questionnaires, we conducted a survey with the funding agencies CAPES, CNPq, MEC, CNE, Decrees, Statutes and Laws that support and evaluate Brazilian graduate programs. This information allowed the compilation of the records, based on the selection of indicators of greater relevance for the spatialization, quantification and qualification analyses of this collected information. The results show the scope and dynamics of the stricto sensu graduate programs of CAPF/UERN, its importance, dynamicization and insertion in inland cities of the Brazilian Semi-arid. With this, there are better indicators of the conditions of access and permanence of students in these programs.
