Evaluation and the Teaching of History in the Municipality of Russas/CE.
History teaching. External evaluation. SMAEF. Teacher autonomy.
This research aims to understand the teaching of History in the municipality of Russas, Ceará, through the analysis of official documents that guide municipal education and its various curricular components, considering the context of external evaluation policies in which the municipality is inserted. The study examines the History Curriculum Proposal, the History Teaching Plans, and the SMAEF Curriculum Matrix, developed by the Pedagogical Technical Assistant for History, seeking to identify the conceptions of History and teaching that shape pedagogical practice. This qualitative research is based on documentary analysis of municipal guidelines and other official documents related to the teaching of History. Partial results indicate that, although these documents express pedagogical intentions, their articulation with the SMAEF places History teaching within a managerial logic that prioritizes goals and measurable outcomes, thereby reducing teacher autonomy and restricting critical perspectives on teaching. This study contributes to the debate on how external evaluation policies shape the teaching of History in the municipal context.
