Representations; Appropriations; School Historical Narratives; Policy
The research focuses on understanding which are the representations present in the school's historical narratives about the Civil-Military Dictatorship of 1964. Therefore, it seeks to analyze the discursive structure of the school narratives to identify the historiographic matrices that serve as references in the curricular documents, in books and didactic materials, in the pedagogical action of teachers, as well as in the learning of students in the final grade of high school (3rd grade) of two public schools in Fortaleza, Ceará. For data collection, we used questionnaires and semi-structured interviews, classroom observations, which were recorded in naudio and converted into protocol pieces, constituting our documentary body. The results found show us how school narratives are constructed, altered and reproduced in the current historical moment, while at the same time perceiving the performance of the ultraconservative right-wing political and cultural sectors in defending and legitimizing the period through speeches in the most diverse cultural instruments in general.
