TRAJECTORIES OF SPATIAL INCLUSION ON UERN CENTRAL CAMPUS: NARRATIVES OF PROTAGONISM, BELONGING AND TRANSFORMATIONS
: Inclusion; Architectural accessibility; (Auto)biography; University.
In view of the growing and necessary appreciation of inclusion actions, as a resource to enable access, full use and permanence of people with disabilities in collective environments, the relevance of this process in higher education institutions stands out, due to its role in social transformation, whose context is marked by multidisciplinarity and the need to adapt physical and virtual spaces, and public and institutional policies. In this context, the legal contributions have been essential to regulate and promote the implementation of such adjustments, but we also reflect on the possibility of experienced knowledge complementing the activity of designing increasingly inclusive and inclusive environments, in addition to normative standards. This reflection led us to the general objective of the research, which seeks to understand the trajectory of spatial inclusion on UERN central campus and its influence on the processes of protagonism, belonging and transformations. For this, we used the (Auto)Biographical method with a qualitative approach, and a theoretical and methodological contribution related to the subject's formative life experiences and the concepts of inclusion, education and collective memory. The result is a process marked by (self)formation and the appreciation of the academic community, which occupies a prominent place in the narratives, as a way to draw up UERN based people (auto)biography, who make up the university, besides reinforcing the inclusive potential that exists in participation. The reflections that emerged during the course of the research development refer to the importance of outlining institutional planning that contemplates accessibility in its different meanings: Attitudinal, Architectural, Transport, Furniture, Communicational, Methodological, Pedagogical, Instrumental and Technological, and the importance of participatory institutional planning as a possible path towards a transforming university.
