Association between quality of sleep and arterial hypertension in family farmers

INTRODUCTION: Agriculture is part of human history, has been a practice developed by men as well as women. However, these field occupations exposes the individual to multiple aggressors’ agents, and this expose the harmful elements the health is conceived of synergy form, generating changes of body organic functions, being these conditions associate the social context, economic, cultural, and educations, especially in people of low access to health actions and its determinants. As factors that will culminate in the level elevations blood pressure, being among then, the sleep, that suffers the influence of several conditions that ends up interrupting the sleep patterners integrity, and with it, causes impacts about individual and his occupations. OBJECTIVE: The work is proposed to investigate the relationship between the quality of sleep and blood pressure in farmers in the Potiguar´ semi-arid region. METHODOLOGY: This is of a survey from across sectional, analytical and quantitative, with family farmers resident in (the) countryside of the Tenente Ananias city- RN. The collection will give through an interview using the following tools: a semi-structured questionnaire and the Pittsburg questionnaire, as well as the measurement of blood pressure level and participant identification variables (social data, demographic and clinical). The survey will be developed in the farmer´s house in a direct way, on Saturdays and Sundays, in the mornings and afternoons, between the months from November to February, respectively 2021 and 2022. EXPECTED RESULTS: The survey expected to identify that bad quality of sleep may be related the individual in a state of alert or with systemic arterial hypertension diagnosis, suggesting an intimate association among elements, which they are a cycle that perpetuate such conditions.
