RESUMO:

The gender debate in the countryside is an issue that deserves attention, given the high disparity in relationships, ways of working, access to public policies and management. Thus, it is essential to understand the process of articulation of rural women in the face of inequalities. Thus, this research aims to understand how the process of social organization of women has enabled their protagonism in the productive space of family farming in rural areas. of the city of São Miguel/RN. The research will have as locus the Union of Rural Workers and Workers of São Miguel. For the materialization of this study, an exploratory research method is proposed, considering field research and a qualitative approach, in addition to being a bibliographic and documentary research, which will support the theoretical and conceptual construction of the research. . As a collection instrument, two semi-structured interview scripts with open questions will be used, the first will be directed to farmers associated with the Union and the second script will be aimed at the institution's employees. For data analysis, content analysis will be used as a technique, in order to categorize, deepen and elucidate the interviewees' speeches. With the realization of this research, it is expected to know and discuss the gender inequalities present in the rural area of São Miguel, enabling the promotion of discussions and actions in favor of the farmers.
