RESUMO:

The health of graduate students seems to go unnoticed in the eyes of the national graduate policy and the assessment body. However, the importance of proposing policies aimed at preserving researchers' health and quality of life is undeniable. Illness in the academic environment can compromise personal, professional, and academic aspects, both in relation to production and meeting deadlines, as well as the permanence of students in the programs. For that, we have as research object a regionalized analysis of the scientific production and health perception of masters and masters graduated in the area of Urban and Regional Planning in the Semiarid Region. In this sense, we have as research questions: What is the perception of health of master's students and program graduates? Do program actions impact regional academic/scientific production? How is the health of masters and graduates in Urban and Regional Planning in the Semiarid region in the pandemic context? The objective of the research is to analyze scientific development indicators in the area of Urban and Regional Planning in the Semiarid Region and the impacts on the health of students and graduates. Therefore, the research will use the quantitative-qualitative approach, being developed based on three types of research: bibliographic, descriptive and field, characterizing itself as a mixed method. Data collection will be done through an online questionnaire through Google Forms. The collection instrument will be sent to the secretaries of the programs by email, who must share it with the 2019 and 2020 masters and graduates of the 2017 and 2018 classes, with a minimum sample of 83 participants. The analysis of quantitative data will be through descriptive statistics and qualitative data by content analysis. The Perceived Stress Scale – PSS will be analyzed as preceded by Luft, Sanches, Mazo and Andrade (2007). The study will provide valuable information for programs, students and future researchers who dialogue and seek to understand health in the academic and regional context. In addition to bringing the topic to academic debate, it is expected that, based on the results, the programs will promote lectures and events on the subject. As well, consult the feasibility of implementing specialized care within the institution aimed at the needs of graduate researchers.
