RESUMO:

The Health Care Network (RAS) seeks to promote comprehensive care and is organized in horizontal relationships between the points of care, whose communication and coordination center is Primary Health Care (PHC), considered one of the most strong predictors in the screening of chronic non-communicable diseases (NCDs), such as cancer. Cervical cancer (CCU) specifically, is the fourth type of cancer that most affects women globally. The variable is similar with regard to Brazil and the Northeast, a region that comprises a large part of the semiarid region. After the publication of the Ordinance that instituted the National Policy for Oncology Care (PNAO), the control of the CCU is contemplated in state and municipal health plans, as one of the priority goals included in the management commitment term, involving the different spheres in accountability. of the control of this cancer aiming at actions to strengthen the prevention, diagnosis and treatment network. However, with regard to the management of care for women with CC who live in the semi-arid region of the state of Rio Grande do Norte, it is believed that there are still some obstacles to its full implementation, such as the difficulty of accessing reference services, the scrapping of services, the inefficiency in the follow-up, the still inefficient knowledge on the part of professionals and managers about the correct reference of these patients in the HCN, among many others, in addition to the fact that CCU mainly affects more vulnerable women, with low education and income and with less access to information. , a reality still very present in this region. Based on the above, the general objective is: to analyze the management of care for women with CC in the RAS in the upper west of Potiguar and as specific objectives: to understand the oncology care network as a public policy for the VI Region; to capture the perception of service managers and regulators about the attention to users undergoing CCU treatment; to identify the main instruments for the promotion, prevention and treatment of CCU developed in the municipalities of the VI Region. This is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach to be carried out in the VI Health Region of the State of Rio Grande do Norte, with the city of Pau dos Ferros/RN as the main hub. The municipal health managers of the 37 municipalities that make up the VI Region, the Technical Officers (RT) of systems of the health secretariats or professionals who carry out regulatory activities, in addition to 01 representative of the AAPCMR from the Pau dos Ferros nucleus will participate in the research. Data collection will take place in two stages: initially, a semi-structured interview will be applied with the health secretaries, as well as the representative of the AAPCMR; the second stage will be aimed at the RT of the municipalities through a questionnaire. The analysis of qualitative data will be performed according to Bardin's content analysis method. The research will undergo an ethical review, as provided for in Resolution 466/2012.
