The expansion of the territory goes beyond the geographical boundaries, it is an approach that pleads social and economic issues, especially when referring to the process of expansion of the urban fabric as a condition for employment and income conditions. The resources invested cannot be merely financial, as expansion is also an urban phenomenon that has repercussions on the geographic space and, consequently, on life and well-being. In this context, it is necessary to reflect on the sanitation conditions in the health territory, considering that health and development are intrinsic. Thus, the general objective of the research is to analyze the organization of the offer of the health service to families in the context of the expansion of the territory of the basic units in the municipality of Pau dos Ferros, RN. This is a descriptive and exploratory study of predominantly qualitative character. The research will be carried out in three stages: Stage 1 – consists of collecting secondary data from the SUS information system. Stage 2 – participation of 6 nurses and 16 ACS who will answer the pre-prepared questionnaire. Step 3 – technique of observing the environment. The analysis will be carried out in two methodological perspectives, comprising aspects of Zanelli and the method of observing the environment. The dissertation will be structured in the understanding of the role of primary health care in the organization of the territory, making a bridge with the sanitation conditions and well-being of the population.
