The study aims to evaluate the sustainability of gray water reuse in agroecological production in family farming, in municipalities in the Immediate Geographic Region of Pau dos Ferros/RN. The social technology of gray water reuse encourages the construction of productive agroecological backyards, with the aim of promoting food security and sovereignty in the semi-arid context. Gray water reuse systems are carried out by the Support Service for Community Alternative Projects (SEAPAC), which encourages agroecological principles, combined with some social technologies such as the wastewater treatment system, a way of valuing water. Treated domestic sewage effluents represent a source of water and nutrients available for use in irrigation, in addition to contributing to rural sanitation, reducing water scarcity for the production of healthy food in quantity and quality to meet the needs of rural families. . The sustainable management of natural resources, especially water resources, with the use of water reuse technology in the production of food for diffuse farming families, is an important topic when it comes to establishing a harmonious relationship between the local population and the natural environment, especially when referring to the Semiarid region
