PHILOSOPHY IN HIGH SCHOOL EDUCATION: REFLECTIONS ON THE ROLE OF PHILOSOPHICAL THINKING IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF CITIZENSHIP EDUCATION FROM THE PERSPECTIVE OF JEAN-JACQUES ROUSSEAU
Education; Rousseau; Citizenship.
This study addresses the role of philosophical thinking in the development of citizenship education in high school, from the perspective of Jean-Jacques Rousseau. To develop this project, it is necessary to adopt a methodology that allows for a deeper understanding of the subject and to collect relevant data for the research. The first stage of the project consists of a bibliographic review on the subject, with the aim of identifying and analyzing the main works and studies on the teaching of philosophy, education for citizenship and Rousseau's perspective. This review will include books, articles, dissertations and theses, as well as official documents related to education. The second stage involves the analysis of official documents related to the teaching of philosophy in high school, such as curricular guidelines and educational public policies. This analysis may allow identifying possible gaps or challenges for the implementation of a philosophical education from Rousseau's perspective. The problem-based learning methodology is proposed as a pedagogical approach to stimulate reflection and active participation of students in the learning process. It is hoped that this study can contribute to improving the teaching of philosophy in high school, strengthening the formation of conscious citizens committed to building a more just and democratic society.
