RESUMO:
This research has as its object of study the Common National Base for Teacher Training (BNC-Formação) as a policy
aimed at teacher training and its implications for the degree course in Biological Sciences at the Regional University
of Cariri-URCA/CE. It questions how the disciplinary community/teachers of the degree course in Biological
Sciences at Urca mean BNC-Formação in the training of Biology teachers. The general objective of the study is to
investigate how the disciplinary community/teachers of the undergraduate course in Biological Sciences at Urca
mean BNC-Formation in the training of Biology teachers. As specific objectives, we intend to: analyze the curricular
organization of the degree course in Biological Sciences at Urca, identifying aspects of the Common National Base
(BNC - Training); identify discourses from the disciplinary community/Biology teachers regarding the Common
National Base (BNC-Formação); understand, through the speeches of teachers from the Biological Sciences degree
course, the implications for the configuration of the training processes of teachers in this area. This is qualitative
research, of an exploratory nature, as our purpose is to build knowledge about BNC-Formação in conjunction
with teachers' speeches from a comprehensive perspective. As a theoretical-methodological approach, this
research will be based on the policy cycle of Stephen Ball and collaborators (1992), supported by studies by
Mainardes (2018; 2006) as he believes that such an approach allows us to understand educational policies,
in general, and, in particular, investigate how the disciplinary community of the degree course in Biological
Sciences at the Regional University of Cariri (Urca) means BNC-Formation in the training of Biology teachers,
the object of this investigation. To achieve the objectives, we intend to use as sources official curricular
documents from BNC-formation and the Pedagogical Project of the Biological Sciences Course at Urca, as well
as the BNC-formation curriculum policy and its implications for teacher training. Regarding the objectives of
identifying Biology teachers' speeches regarding the Common National Base (BNC-Formação), we propose that
data collection be carried out through the application of semi-structured interviews, due to their flexibility when
dealing with the subjects researched.
