This study is about the memories of master accordion players and students of the cultural project entitled Sanfônicas Potiguares. This project was an initiative for collective teaching of musical instruments, which used as a pedagogical basis the common knowledge of the accordion masters of the Orquestra Sanfônica de Mossoró/RN, to disseminate the training of forrozeiros in municipalities in Rio Grande do Norte. Based on the collective memories of a master accordion player and a student, participants in the entire process experienced between 2008 and 2010, the period in which the project was carried out, we aim to understand the contributions of popular musical knowledge to teaching processes and practices. musical performed within the Project Sanfônicas Potiguares. We revisit, through (Auto)Biography, musical experiences, teaching-learning processes, formative constructions experienced during our professional career as an accordion teacher, with a focus on professional teaching training. We list some of the relevant temporal milestones in the collective teaching of musical instruments in Brazil. And as a third objective, we seek formative knowledge contained in the (Auto)biographical narratives of the master accordion players of the Projeto Sanfônicas Potiguares. The methodology used is qualitative (Auto)biographical research, following the ideas of Minayo (2007). Field research following Bogdan and Biklenem (1994, p. 47), through the reflections contained in their book Qualitative investigation in Education. We will also carry out a bibliographical survey, expanding our view of the existing discussions on the focus theme of our study. Through all the material inventoried, we will seek to interpret the pedagogical actions in the Project Sanfônicas Potiguares and through its contextualization we hope to propose accommodations relevant to the teaching of music, its democratization and valorization, especially in our city.
