The Graduate Program in Health and Society was approved by UERN, Resolution nº. 031/2011-CONSEPE, of October 5, 2011, and by Official Letter 141-17/2011/CTC/CAAI/CGAA/DAV/CAPES, of November 3, 2011.

 

The Master's Course in Health and Society aims to train qualified personnel in various areas of health and related areas, for care, teaching and research activities with the object of study focused on the field of health.

 

The duration of the Master is a maximum of 24 months and a minimum of 12 months. Applications and selection take place annually.

 

We currently have two types of access to the Master's course as a student: SPECIAL and REGULAR student.

 

SPECIAL STUDENT is that candidate (with a degree in any area) who undergoes selection through a specific Official announcement to attend up to 02 (two) subjects in the Master's course. In this modality, only Declaration of proof of the subject(s) attended is issued, if the student obtains attendance and satisfactory performance in the subjects for which he/she was approved in the selection.

 

REGULAR STUDENT is that candidate (with a degree in any area) who undergoes selection through a specific Official announcement to enter the master's course, which has a minimum duration of 12 months, with a minimum workload required in 24 credits Subjects, as follows: 09 credits in compulsory courses, 07 credits in elective courses and 08 credits in Dissertation Preparation. In this modality, at the end of the course, having met all the requirements and having passed the Qualification and Defense Examination, the student obtains the certificate of Master in Health and Society.

The attendance of classroom classes in the Master's is according to the availability of the professors, who distribute class schedules according to their semester planning.

OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT FOR SPECIAL STUDENTS: Published 02 (twice) times a year, usually in January/February and June/July.

 

OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT FOR REGULAR STUDENTS: Published 01 (once) a year, usually in the months of August/September.
