The postgraduate program in Geography (PPGEO) of the State University of Rio Grande do Norte started its activities in 2016 with the recommendation of CAPES (concept 3) and has the mission of training high level professionals in the area of concentration "Natural Landscapes and the Environment". Scientific research activities are divided into two lines, namely: line 1 - Dynamics of Earth's surface systems - aim at analyzing the surface processes responsible for the genesis and evolution of the physical components of the landscapes. Line 2 - Socio-Environmental Studies - aims to identify, evaluate and manage the impacts of society's actions on its environmental support. PPGEO offers the Academic Master's Degree in Geography, which has eight permanent professors and two collaborating professors with intense performance in research and extension, especially in the Northeast region of Brazil PPGEO went up in concept by CAPES going to grade.
