Volunteer Post-Doctorate at PPGE/UERN

As a way of ensuring a policy for training and training human resources at the postdoctoral level, the PPGE/UERN approved and instituted, in December 2020, the offer of a Volunteer Postdoctoral Internship in the program.

Unlike the offer of the internship with funding from the National Post-Doctoral Program (PNPD), from the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (CAPES), in this internship modality, the activities developed by the post-doctoral student are, without exception, of a voluntary nature, not being linked to the granting of scholarships by the PPGE/UERN or by a funding agency.

The main objectives of this stage are:

I) disseminate the lines and research groups linked to the program at a national and international level;

II) provide the researcher with conditions for the consolidation and updating of their knowledge and/or the reorientation of their line of research through investigations carried out together with consolidated research groups, national and foreign;

III) contribute to the establishment and expansion of technical cooperation between the postgraduate program and other higher education institutions in Brazil and abroad.

Duration of the internship: the work plans and research projects of candidates for the Post-Doctoral Volunteer Internship at PPGE must consider the terms of at least 3 months and at most 12 months, with up to four extensions possible.

Procedures for carrying out the internship: the completion of a Volunteer Postdoctoral Internship implies that the candidate undergoes a selection process that occurs in a continuous flow. Stages of the selection process: the selection process comprises the following steps: I) Evaluation of the Research Project/Work Plan (Elimination); II) Curriculum Analysis - Lattes Platform model (Eliminatory).

If the candidate is a foreigner, the Lattes Platform curriculum can be replaced by a curriculum with a history of patent registration and/or publication of impact scientific and technological works and/or academic merit awards;

Procedures for registration in the selection process: registration for the selection process will be done exclusively via the internet, in the Integrated System for the Management of Academic Activities - SIGAA, observing all the following procedures: a) Access the website https://sigaa .uern.br/sigaa/public/processo_seletivo/lista.jsf?aba=p-processo&nivel=S, in which the Notice and Application Form are available; b) Electronically fill

in the Application Form in accordance with the instructions contained therein, obligatorily attaching the documents requested in the public notice.
