In recent years, the ability to design nanostructures and control magnetic properties on a nanometric scale has attracted a lot of attention from researchers, with emphasis on different geometries, such as cubic, rectangular, cylindrical, rings, etc., being studied extensively with the possibility of applications in technologiesdata recording, biomedicine and sensors. From a theoretical point of view, there is interest in the analysis of new magnetic phases, originating from the dipolar field, in nanostructures with dimensions on the order of tens of the exchange length, for applications in magnetic recording systems. In this work, initially a theoretical study was carried out on the impact of dipolar interaction on the magnetic phases of nanocylinders and later on nanorings. Our studies indicated that the effect of dipolar interaction in nanorings is capable of causing significant changes in the magnetic phases in isolated nanostructures. It was shown that through the chosen parameters we can control the vortex nucleation region. There is a difference in the nanostructures detailed in this work, because for nanorings the exchange energy term that was associated with the nucleus is non-existent and for nanocylinders this term is not absent, which favors studying the behavior of magnetic states in nanorings, as it was verifiedthe emergence of multidomain phases contributing to the formation of domain walls. The research was developed through the analysis of the magnetization curves of the remanence phases. An external magnetic field of 5 kOe was applied in different directions until saturating the structure and we gradually removed this field until remanence was reached.

In order to do this, we will use two type Ia supernova samples, one from the Supernova Cosmology Project (UNION 2.1) and the other from PANTHEON 2018. Each set of data was contrasted by cosmological models, verifying the behavior that they developed to the statistical methods and, consequently, it was selection criteria were used to infer the model that best fits the observed data. For the first sample mentioned above, both criteria, AIC and BIC, favored the ΛCDMk = 0 model. For the last sample, the XCDMk = 0 model was favored according to the AIC criterion, while for the BIC criterion it was ΛCDMk = 0.

Nanostructures have been studied for many years and consequently contributing to technological advancement and the development of society, they can be optimized with the right elements, by adjusting these materials we have nanostructures magnetic systems, with great potential in cancer therapy due to their ability to heat in alternating magnetic fields. Therefore, the work aims to obtain a composite of strontium hexaferrite (SrFe12O19) and the metallic alloy iron cobalt (CoFe2), thus producing optimized nanoparticles with low cost of production. Obtaining it in its structural form that best maximizes its magnetic characteristics, namely saturation magnetization and coercivity, thus improving its maximum energy product. Firstly, the material CoFe2 was synthesized using the co-precipitation method, in the second stage, SrFe12O19 was produced also by Co-precipitation, Sol-Gel and Reaction by Ionic Coordination (RCI). Heat treatments were applied to the CoFe2 samples, carried out in a nitrogen atmosphere, in both cases the samples were subjected to a temperature of 750 ºC with a time between 30 and 120 minutes, as for the SrFe12O19 samples the temperature varied between 1000 and 1200 ºC for 6 hours. Subsequently, the materials were characterized, and the techniques used were X-rays (XRD), vibrating sample magnetometer (MAV-VSM), scanning electron microscopy (SEM). This resulted in obtaining pure phases of both composites, with an average grain size of 109.2 to 139.4 nm for CoFe2 and 128.5 to 451.3 textitnm for SrM, for MS we had the highest of 171 emu/g and 50.2 emu/g for CoFe2 and SrFe12O19, respectively, with a maximum coercive field of 4.93 kOe for SrFe12O19, and 0.33 kOe for the metallic alloy. The death results are as expected.

Since the 1990s, with the discovery of the accelerated expansion of the Universe, several attempts have been made to explain the nature of the mechanism that causes this acceleration. To date, cosmological observations reinforce the consolidation of theΛ-Cold Dark Matter (ΛCDM) cosmological model as the most adequate to explain the dynamics of the Cosmos. This model assumes a negative pressure fluid, the cosmological constant -Λ, driving this accelerated expansion. However, this model is still incipient to satisfactorily explain this mechanism, giving rise to the problem of the cosmological constant, in addition to presenting other problems such as flatness of the universe, for example, impelling the search for alternative cosmological scenarios. In this context, this work seeks to explore the ΛCDM-Rastall cosmological model, derived from Rastall’s non-conservative gravitational theory, alternative to Einstein’s Theory of General Relativity, through statistical tests, involving a data sample composed of 32 ages of galaxies in intermediate and high redshifts. Thus, this model was analyzed by through two tests called Lookback Time and Age. In the first one we assume the age of the Universe t0= 13.8±0.024 Gyears and H0= 67.4±0.5 km.s−1.Mpc−1, while for the latter we adopted the following values for the Hubble constant: i) H0=74±1.4 km.s−1.Mpc-1 resulting in Ωm=0.29±0.019 and λ=0.5±0.074 and ii) H0= 67.4±0.5 km.s-1.Mpc-1 obtaining Ωm=0.36±0.024 and λ=0.5±0.076. We also find the theoretical ages of the Universe for these scenarios.

This doctoral thesis explores the statistical analysis of length distributions in plant and viral genomes, aiming to understand underlying statistical patterns and correlations. We propose a wide range of models derived from the generalized statistics of Tsallis and Kaniadakis: $q$-exponential, sum of $q$-exponentials, $q$-Gaussian, $q$-Weibull, $\kappa$-exponential, sum of $\kappa$-exponentials, and $\kappa$-Maxwellian. Bayesian inference and AIC and BIC criteria are used to identify the models that best explain the behavior of the analyzed genetic sequences. Initially, we studied length distributions associated with introns and exons of two plant species belonging to the \textit{Cucurbitaceae} family, namely, \textit{Cucumis sativus and Cucumis melo}. In this case, we tested adjustments for $q$-exponential functions and the sum of $q$-exponential functions, with the latter proving superior. The values found for the entropic index $q$ for all chromosomes of both species were 1.28 $\pm$ 0.06 for introns and 1.06 $\pm$ 0.13 for exons. We expanded this investigation using Kaniadakis statistics, involving three more Cucurbit species: \textit{Cucurbita maxima}, \textit{Cucurbita moschata}, and \textit{Cucurbita pepo}. The $\kappa$-exponential, sum of $\kappa$-exponentials, and $\kappa$-Maxwellian models were tested, and the sum of $\kappa$-exponentials proved superior, considering sequences of exons and introns. The values of the entropic index $\kappa$ for the analyzed species fall within the range $(0.35 \pm 0.08)$. We expanded the database to 23 plant species from 7 different families and tested the viability of the proposed models to explain the length distributions of plant proteins. The $q$-Gaussian and $\kappa$-Maxwellian functions were superior, presenting values of $q$ and $\kappa$ in the same range for all species investigated: $q_g$ = 1.28(4) and $\kappa$ = 0.38(4). These functions also proved efficient in explaining the behavior of protein length distributions in 25 viral species, belonging to the \textit{Flaviviridae} and \textit{Coronaviridae} families. We identified the possible existence of biological information, present in DNA chains, capable of distinguishing between plants and viruses.

With the growing demand for data generation, storage and processing, there is a continuous search for recording media with greater data storage capacity and processing speed. In this context, researchers worldwide have been investing in alternatives to current recording media. Racetrack Memory is an emerging technology candidate to replace current memories. Researchers expect this type of non-volatile solid-state memory to have a higher storage capacity than currently available memories. The Racetrack Memory device is based on the stabilization and controlled motion of magnetic domain walls in nanowires by the spin-polarized current. Our work comprises a theoretical study of releasing magnetic domain walls in ferromagnetic nanostripes (Py or Fe) coupled to a vicinal antiferromagnetic substrate of two sub-grids (FM/AFM) by the spin-polarized current. Previous studies show that domain walls are trapped in interface steps perpendicular to the easy axis of the antiferromagnet, separating terraces with opposite interface exchange fields. In the absence of an applied external field, the center of the domain wall is on the interface step. This work will consider a spin-polarized current applied along the easy antiferromagnetic axis. Here, the spin-transfer torque occurs only in the domain wall region. We will investigate the minimum intensity of the spin-polarized current density (J) to release domain walls in Fe/AFM and Py/AFM. Preliminary results show the current density limit to release a magnetic domain wall trapped in a ferromagnetic nanostripe coupled to a uniaxial vicinal antiferromagnetic substrate of two vicinal subnets, with a single defect, is a function of the interface field strength. Furthermore, we will carry out a systematic study on how the geometric parameters of the system change the threshold current density for the release of magnetic domain walls. Our work also investigates the release of a train of domain walls in ferromagnetic nanoribbons (Py or Fe), coupled to a vicinal antiferromagnetic substrate of two sub-grids (FM/AFM), by the spin-polarized current. In this context, it will be investigated whether the interaction between domain walls alters or not the intensity of the threshold spin-polarized current for the release of the magnetic domain wall train.

Since the discovery of the spin-transfer torque (STT) effect by Slonczewski and Berger, tremendous and continuous interest has been aroused in the study of current-driven spin dynamics in confined magnetic structures due to the fundamental physics involved and the prospect for technological applications. In a confined magnetic structure such as a nanowire as a proper direct current is passed through, the transfer of spin angular momentum from conduction electron to local spins drives a persistent precession of local spins in the free layer or an oscillation of a pinned domain wall in a nanowire. The magnetization oscillations in magnetic nanostructures due to the current-driven domain wall (DW) oscillation open a new method for the generation of microwave oscillations. The magnetic nanostructures can be utilized to build nano-scale oscillators with the tunable frequency in the microwave range, which has important applications in various areas such as wireless communication. So far, one kind of current-driven magnetic nano-oscillators is the domain wall-based nano-oscillator (DWNO). The most studied DWNO is based on a magnetic nanowire with pinning notches. Here, we will investigate the domain wall-based nano-oscillator in a bilayer consisting of a flat rectangular ferromagnetic wire exchange coupled to a two-sublattices vicinal antiferromagnetic (AF) substrate fulfills the main requirements for constructing a periodic sequence of pinned domain walls. A vicinal two-sublattices AF substrate is a high Miller indexes stacking which may be tailored to consist of a periodic repetition of terraces composed of spins of opposite AF sublattices, separated by steps perpendicular to the direction of the AF spins. This may lead to a corresponding arrangement in the ferromagnetic film, which may turn structured with alternating domains separated by head-to-head and tail-to-tail in-plane domain walls centered at the step’s edges. As expected, since the restoring force is associated with the strength of the interface exchange field, our preliminary results show that the frequency of the domain wall oscillation is a function of the interface exchange field and the geometrical parameters. However, in this study, we will investigate the frequency of a domain wall sequence oscillation. We will analyze the effects of the dipolar interaction and chiralities on the oscillations of a sequence of magnetic domain wall.

In recent decades, the detection and characterization of short-period binary systems has increased significantly. In this sense, the study of the variation in the orbital period of these objects becomes essential to understand their dynamics and several other physical phenomena, such as the emission of gravitational waves, loss of angular momentum via magnetic braking, transfer of matter between components, apsidal movement, variation of the quadrupole moment and presence of third bodies. In this context, several space missions were launched, among them, we highlight the Kepler and TESS (Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite) missions, which have provided a large number of high-precision photometric data with temporal coverage from years to decades. Thus, this work proposes to study the variation in the orbital period of a sample of 253 eclipsing binary systems observed by the Kepler and TESS satellites, which represents a temporal coverage of more than 10 years of observation. Therefore, the main objective of this work is the search and characterization of third bodies around short-period binaries. Therefore, from the periodicity analysis of the $O - C$ diagram, we observed that 75 objects in our sample presented periodic variation and, thus, were classified as binary systems with third body candidates, while the remaining 178 systems did not present periodic variations in the your $O - C$ diagrams. Consequently, these results represent a rate of $\sim 2,2$ times the number of candidates for third bodies around binary systems compared to the study carried out using only Kepler data. Although our estimated rate of third body candidates ($\sim 30\%$) is higher than that obtained from Kepler data alone ($\sim 20\%$), given the finite time base of the data, it should be taken as a lower limit. The orbital period-eccentricity diagram of third body candidates showed a lack of systems with high eccentricities and periods shorter than 300 days and systems with low eccentricities and periods longer than 3000 days, corroborating the theoretical predictions.

Modern Astrophysics has made significant progress in reducing the uncertainties of key stellar parameters such, as mass, radius, luminosity and effective temperature. This has allowed a better understanding of the physics of stars and the formation and evolution of stellar clusters (Lada and Lada, 2003; Porras et al., 2003). Still, measuring distances remains fundamental and challenging, having a direct impact on Modern Cosmology. Type Ia super novae (SNe Ia) and Cepheids are common standard candles used and reported in the literature. The first is used to determine distances from nearby to more distant galaxies. The second is a faithful calibrator of the first, when they are in the same region. In this context, eclipsing binary systems (EBSs) prove to be accurate and competitive distance indicators on scales of the local universe, with high-mass stars being crucial given their high luminosities. Therefore, the central interest of this work is to obtain a distance measurement to the 30 Doradus region, which is part of the Large Magellanic Cloud (LMC), using 5 high-mass eclipsing binary systems and seeking to understand the dynamics of clusters in this region. For this we use photometric dataOptical Gravitational Lensing Experiment(OGLE, Udalski et al., 1992; Udalski, 2004; Udalski et al., 2008) and spectroscopy data from the VLT FLAMES-Tarantula and Tarantula Massive Binary Monitoring Surveys (VFTS and TMBM, Evans et al., 2011; Almeida et al., 2017). The joint analysis of these data is performed with the Wilson-Devinney code (WDC, Wilson and Devinney, 1971) combined with the Monte Carlo Markov Chain technique (MCMC, Foreman-Mackey et al., 2013), with the aim of seeking the best physical and geometric parameters of the binaries. For the distance, we obtained d= 49.55±1.7kpc andd= 49.55±1.6kpc when considering the global and partial sample, for the NGC 2070 and NGC 2060 regions. This result indicates a significant agreement with the results obtained by Pietrzynski et al. (2013, 2019). Two, VFTS 352 and VFTS 061, of the 5 systems analyzed show discrepant distances from the values obtained for objects that are part of NGC 2070 or NGC 2060, indicating that they were either born outside or were ejected from these clusters. Of the five systems analyzed, three show systemic velocities compatible with the regions NGC 2070 or NGC 2060,VFTS 500 (γ= 269.50+0.90−0.86), VFTS 176 (γ= 260.26+1.94−1.98), VFTS 352 (γ= 265.34+2.15−2.13), and two, the VFTS ̇661 (γ= 286.41+1.91-1.90) and VFTS 061 (γ= 284.46+1.43 −1.44), are candidates for runaway systems. These latest results are in agreement with those obtained by Sana et al. (2022). The possible scenarios that justify the ejection of these systems, given the LMC subpopulations, are: binary ejection, due to the gravitational interaction of the companion; or dynamic ejection, when the expulsion of the cluster is due to gravitational interactions with other stars.
