RESUMO:

Since the middle of the 21st century, children have occupied school spaces at an earlier age. Not just filling this school environment in numbers, but becoming an object of concern in the face of the needs that surround them. Therefore, the strategies to improve teaching have been diverse, among which, we highlight as strategies within the teaching-learning processes, the use of active methods in order to provide students with more methodological instruments so that quality learning is achieved. In this sense, the present research aims to analyze musicalization as a pedagogical strategy in the context of the Early Years of Elementary Education with public school teachers in the municipality of Pau dos Ferros/RN. When we deal with musicalization, we refer to nursery rhymes, sung toys, children's experiences in the perspective of identifying a rhythmic repertoire, developing auditory acuity, preliminary involvement with the voice or with other musical instruments, which help the development of children's ability to concentrate, identification of sound properties and identification of musical styles. We understand that the nature of the research is qualitative, as the database will be based on a subjective analysis. As an investigation technique, we will resort to Barbour's (2009) focus group method, and as instruments for data collection we will use conversation wheels with teachers from municipal and state education networks in the municipality of Pau dos Ferros/RN. Data analysis will be performed using Bardin's (2016) content analysis. The research methodology will be developed with a focus on teachers who, through their perceptions, will be able to contribute immensely to our data collection. The research will be anchored in theorists such as: Brito (2009), Cunha (2019), Freire (1985, 1987), Jeandet (1971), Velozo (2019), among others who will bring important contributions to the foundation of the research. Therefore, we hope that the study will bring theoretical and practical subsidies that can contribute to Basic Education in terms of musicalization as a strategy for the teaching-learning process.
