RESUMO:

This research aims to understand the meanings, significance, and place of the family from the perspective of Humanistic Education, based on the context of Logosophical Pedagogy in the early years of elementary education. It adopts a qualitative, interpretive, and descriptive approach. The text is organized into five chapters, with the first being introductory in nature, and the second focusing on the theoretical and methodological framework. The two chapters dedicated to theoretical foundations were developed through bibliographic research: a) Interfaces between Education, Humanism, and Family; b) Logosophy: Science and Humanistic Pedagogy. The fifth chapter refers to empirical work that seeks to understand the meanings, significance, role, and positions of the family within Logosophical pedagogical practices through field research. In this regard, participant observations were conducted at a Logosophical Education System school in Belo Horizonte, Brazil. Subsequently, after obtaining ethical clearance, semi-structured interviews will be conducted with the school administration, teachers, and parents of the children attending the school that applies Logosophical-based humanistic education. The findings will be analyzed using Content Analysis methodology. Regarding our primary results in this qualifying phase, we have gained a comprehensive understanding of fundamental aspects of Family, Humanistic Education, and Logosophical Pedagogy through our theoretical and empirical research. This includes the notions of training Logosophical teachers, perception of childhood and family, as well as the relationship established between the school and the family in relation to Humanistic Education. Additionally, we have collected testimonies from families involved in this process.
