RESUMO:

This study aims to analyze the impacts of reading mediation work with a work of black representation in the early years of elementary school in a public school served by the BALE extension program in the municipality of Pau dos Ferros/RN, based on activities of storytelling and retelling.The work mediated with the students will be “The Little Black Prince” by the author Rodrigo França, which was chosen because it can awaken in the reader the enchantment, as well as the reflection of themes of the reality of the students, such as blackness, friendship, respect for diversity, and valuing their roots.In addition, it makes it possible to address the issue of the importance of more books about black people in school environments, in view of the vast discussions and interpretations that may arise from the reading of these works. Seeking to develop an analysis of the chosen book, and the storytelling and retelling within the classroom, this study is based on a qualitative approach, configuring itself as an action-research that can bring relevant contributions to the researched reality.The target audience will be students in the 2nd year of Elementary School and the research will use an intervention with storytelling and retelling as a data construction method, as well as an interview with a focus group. The study of the data will be with transcription, interpretation and analysis of the information constructed throughout the research from the interpretative method. In view of the great relevance of the theme of history and the need to be further explored by researchers together with society, we believe that this work is extremely relevant for academic production on the theme addressed.
