RESUMO:

Considering the globalization that progresses at every moment promoting constant advances around the world, it is possible to notice, for example, the incorporation of new means of communication and technological tools that seek to streamline tasks and optimize our time in the face of day-to-day activities, inserted in the consumer market at every moment. With the diversity of possibilities that are made available, technological changes that influence socially open space and provide new forms of producing texts. With this, it is extremely important that the school, as a formal educational institution, seeks to follow these transformations in its pedagogical and methodological practices through multiliterate teaching, hoping with a more citizen and critical formation. For this reason, I guided mainly by the works of Kress and Van Leeuwen (1996, 2006, 2021) on Social Semiotics, of Callow (2013) and Silva (2016) on Multimodality, of the New London Group (1996) on Multiliteracies and Almeida (2019) on Structural Racism, we propose an intervention using the phenomenological method, characterized as action research, with a qualitative approach, and descriptive and activist interpretation of data processing. The proposal seeks to develop and activate multiliteracies in public high school education, with regard to combating racism in society, through the TV series Everybody Hates Chis and digital and multimodal productions.
